Why is Gog twitch hosting Detroit: Become Human?
has the rule about only gog games on gog been dropped or is Detroit: Become Human coming to gog?

It looks like they were hosting another streamer, "IndigoWolfiee"

AFAIK, Detroit: Become Human is a PS4 exclusive.

And the folks at Sony are terribly clingy about their exclusive games/franchises. Have any Sony exclusives ever been legally released on other platforms? I mean, I'd love to see games such as Demon's Souls or Bloodborne on PC, but for as long as Sony is still in the gaming hardware business, I doubt they'll give up any of their exclusive games.

I want this! But yeah, some exclusives seem set to stay exclusive. About as likely as Bayonetta 2 arriving on the PC.

Many people want to play Bloodborne, that's why Sony keeps it exclusive. XD

But seriously, they have many much older exclusive games, from the PS1 and PS2 era, which have never been officially released on other platforms. They just keep re-releasing and re-re-releasing them on their new consoles.

You do know that Bayonetta 1 is on Steam?
So the chance for Bayonetta 2 to see a (Steam-)release too, might actually be pretty high.

It might, however, still take a few years.
I believe the waiting period for the first one was seven years? eight years?
So, probably expect the second one to be released in 2021/2022.
Not to mention that it is also unfortunately Sony that is holding many old games like "Drakan: Order of the Flame", "Rollcage" or "Overboard" hostage. And with "PC" being a swear word to Sony these days, the chances of ever seeing those games on GOG (or anywhere else PC related for that matter) are literally less than absolute zero. The only sources are abandonware sites and maybe singular pre-owned pieces on Amazon, eBay and the like.

I luckily acquired a sealed boxed version of Drakan last year and had Rollcage for a long time as it was included as a bonus to a gaming magazine some 15+ years ago, but I'm still sorely missing Overboard! :(

Damn you Sony!!!

If only it was that simple and Sega was still the publisher/owner.

Well, since Bayonetta saw release on PC and it has already a fanbase there - it might not be completely(!) impossible, that Nintendo gives the ok for a PC release of B2.

After all: it's not one of their own IPs.
So, instead of giving up, maybe just wait two to three years to see if it comes to PC.

And if it doesn't?
Just have a look at your backlog.

Maybe, maybe not. But the game itself is most definitely theirs.

Not a problem for me. Just saying why the chance might not be as high as you mentioned.

Rollcage was released for Windows in 1999. I still have it on CD-ROM - it came in the box with a graphics card.

Drakan:

-> only on Windows

Overboard!

Or is Windows not PC related?

I assumed they were talking about the chances of seeing a re-release.

Exactly. Of course they were released back then (under Psygnosis). But with present day Sony, those games can be considered buried for good.

As far as I know, Detroit: Become Human is coming to pc but will be a timed exclusive to the epic game store.

I haven't decided if I'm buying it afterward or not. As much as I love Quantic Dream, I do not like EGS exclusives, regardless of how long or short they're on there.

Of course, I might be completely wrong and it might just be Quantic's other games coming to EGS, but I'm pretty sure I heard D: BH is coming to it and later on, to steam.

If I'm wrong, I apologize in advance.

EDIT: To answer the OP, GOG was hosting other streamers, not streaming the games themselves. It's common courtesy on Twitch to host people you enjoy watching, or want to support in a non monetary way.

You are not streaming the game yourself, you're hosting someone else's stream. It is also a common way to network and gain exposure for your own brand, and a generally good, goodwill tactic that is extremely popular to do on twitch.
