CymTyr: Fair enough, but Detroit is probably his best game to date. I felt that Heavy Rain was too depressing and marginalized my emotional character a little too often for my liking, so I do agree with you to a point.
paladin181: I liked Heavy Rain, but like Fahrenheit, it fell apart in the end. Rather than coming off as clever, the reveal felt forced and wrong. Too many of the game's plot-points were driven by the fact that the audience didn't know who was the actual killer, rather than actual character motivation. Particularly, some actions were entirely unnecessary for some characters given their knowledge, and served no other purpose than to obscure the surprise twist from the player. I haven't played Detroit Become Human yet, but everything I can find says it's more of the same melodrama and somewhat poor execution towards the end.
I did not find it poorly executed at all, other than the female android's story arc after about halfway through. I got one of the better endings, so without spoilers I can say I was satisfied with it, but you would have to look at it as a metaphor for current events more or less, and a moral story (big surprise) about just what it means to become human.
I liked this one because instead of it being like his other games, the whole game was basically a metaphor, at least in my playthrough.
