freebooter1958: Well put it this way I won't be purchasing anymore games. Will just turn it keep what I have. Go back to tangible cd type games, playstation,Xbox, or others. Thank you all for your help. I don't keep history of all these purchases for a $4.99 game. I may keep my income tax records, but that is a way more serious situation. I just move on. Thank you all for your help......
That's your choice of course. You're upset because you can't find your game to download, that's understandable. Anyone would be perhaps a little irked over that, completely natural. Instead of throwing the baby out with the bathwater though and blaming it on GOG trying to screw you over or something like that - why not instead assume that nobody is screwing anyone over and try to find a working solution instead?
It is extremely unlikely that GOG has removed a game you've bought from your game shelf and completely annihilated it from your purchase history as well. If that were the case, then you'd pretty much be the first person for this to ever happen to.
Instead, if you listen to what we are saying to try to help you - is that you most likely have purchased the game(s) under a different account and simply forgot about it. We say this because it is the most plausible explanation, and because there have been numerous people come along in the forums in the past exactly like you claiming they had a game missing from their shelf and being all upset with GOG about it. Only after being patient and talking to GOG support and looking into it they have discovered that they bought the game they were thinking about under a completely different account that they forgot about over time. Hey, time passes and if we don't log into a site like this every day or regularly enough we can forget things and make mistakes, we're all human. Even if we are very sure that we didn't, we can find out with investigation that - oops, yeah - we did.
Everyone here has tried to pretty much provide guidance toward helping you find a solution including talking to GOG support, and now GOG support has come here in the forums as well to try to offer assistance. Why not work with everyone and with GOG to try to get what it is that you want out of all of this?
If you run off in a rage angry with GOG about it, all you accomplish is that you'll probably never get your game, and you yourself end up missing out on all that GOG has to offer here at their great service. That's your loss if you choose to do that, but an unfortunate one that could potentially be avoided with a bit of patience and working together. We've helped many people sort problems out this way in the past, why not join the club and be one of them.
I dunno about others, but I'd love to see you get your games back and post back to us "Oh shit, I forgot I made an account xyzabcdef before because of $reason and totally forgot about that, sorry guys. Glad to have got my game back though and thanks for your help!
