Update 2: No, it's real, the game is going to be delisted on 15 Nov, 8 AM UTC

Update: Probably a false alarm since GOG made a delisting thread about Bedlam game but ignored MGS 2.

The PC port of MGS2 is one of the worst ports of a video game ever made. You'd have to be insane to get it instead of just getting the HD Collection on PS3/4/5.

Suspicious there is still no announcement. Maybe PC ports have separate license somehow?
It might be also a good idea to download the game's installers for those who own it on Gog just to be safe.

If they cannot manage to get the license back for those "historic footages" they might patch them out. Similar to how some musics have been patched out of some older GTA games on Steam.

That is a good advice. Ideally, current owners will get a separate entry for the unaltered version in the GOG library, if Konami brings it back without the mentioned content. Cheers

It would be nice to see an official announcement from GOG about this, as to what is happening.

We appreciate your feedback and will continue our efforts to improve our communication with you.
Maybe you should try a little harder, eh?
Another article on the subject

Already purchased it but at least it is listed as a temporary delisting, just a matter of when it will come back...... and if it comes back with other Konami games....... I'm not being too hopeful am I?
Can't take away my PS2 version of MGS 2.
I knew Kojima's stock footage obsession would eventually bite him in the ass.

It's back I think, yesterday wasn't available, but now it is.

Get the xbox 360 version. Looks better, better controls. Honestly, it's not much of a loss. MGS 2 is barely a good game. The dialogue (which there is waaay too much of) is awful.

With the historical video footage intact?
