We’d like to inform you that, due to publisher's request, GTTOD: Get To The Orange Door will be delisted from our catalog on Friday, February 17th, 4 PM UTC.

For everyone who purchased the title prior to delisting, it will remain in their GOG library.
That's an early access game. How can it become delisted without having been finished? Isn't that fraud? :-(

An early access game that was apparently never updated.

Was this line from the product page ever valid?

GTTOD is still in active development. Things change every day, so if you'd like to keep up with what is being added to the game, come on down to the Discord or Subreddit and chat with us!
A pity, because it looked interesting.
But if they completely neglected Gog, it's better to leave.
wow, highly-rated on Steam with over 2,200 reviews, and only 2 reviews on GOG. I wonder if the dev or pub just didn't want to deal with the low sales here, or multiple storefronts?

But what about the people who have bought it here (not me)? Will they get a steam key perhaps?

GTTOD: Get To The Orange Door is being delisted from GOG because the developers of the game hated working with the store. One developer said as much on the studio's Discord server, see my screenshots of their messages.

It's gotten to the point where GOG needs to finally take a hint about their terrible and dated developer experience when compared to the current leading PC game distribution platform. From the inconsistent curation process that is frustrating smaller developers by wasting their time, to the complete lack of self-service tools for managing your game listing.

GOG is losing indie developers by the day. Sequels to games such as Darkest Dungeon and Redout are not being released on GOG. If this store does not fix its reputation and get with the times concerning their developer experience, I don't see ourselves being able to purchase modern indie titles on here for much longer.

gog should remove Beautiful Mystic Survivors/Sexy Mystic Survivors in that case as well.
Some/all of the devs hate working with gog and I can almost guarantee that some bs is going to happen in the future...oh wait, that's already the case. They know the wrong build of SMS was uploaded, but don't intent to fix it. :P

I left their Discord so can't take a screenshot of the devs message.

Also, this dev comes across as a douchebag.

Admittedly they do, however I believe it's important to consider how this attitude came to be. And there are many more that are just as fed up.

Sadly true.

Might be the case for a lot of devs, true.
But in this one particular case, his responses sound like incoherent rambling, not like someone that is fed up with a certain store front. Admittedly I only saw your screenshot, never had a conversation with that guy, so I might be completely wrong. :P

Edit: I'll keep it at that, as I never was interested in the game anyway.

Okay but I didn't see him explain why GOG is so incredibly horrible to work with and should diiiiieeeeeeeeeeee.

Should CDP sell GOG to Embracer Group or another company?

The dev is more like: GOG EXISTS! CONTACT! AAARRRGGHH!

PS: Greetings to a certain Discord channel. LOL.

Neer happened so far and I don't think it will.
Try to apply for a refund.
But tbh it's not GOGs fault that the dev is an ass.

"In development" is always risk. You never know what you'll get, there is no guarantee.

I financed several kickstarter games and so far I got lucky most of the time except with one which got a gamebreaking but and never received an update on GOG, was removed at some point.

Sounds like a shitty dev who also hates customers and absolutely has that broken "Steam IS PC Gaming" mental illness. Probably said "no Steam no buy" at some point and meant it.

Did he give any actual real reasons? TONS of devs of various sizes have no problems pushing updates here, even of multiple titles and DLC and versions. We've heard that there are some legit issues (like invoicing for payment). But he seems to have a personal hate-on for GOG for no reason.

I felt sympathy for the dev when I read your post, but that quickly evaporated when reading their actual posts. Damn, they come off really badly there.

That's not to say GOG is without flaws, but that's just an emotional response without even an attempt to justify it with facts.
