More Polish!

Frankly, I wasn't at all surprised by this news. *shrug* More time for me to maybe play my seemingly never-ending backlog? Pfft! Good one.
Good, maybe the next gen cards are out by then, i don't mind at all.

In my opinion that's bad news. Yes, the game will be more polished, but the release date is very close to the release date of nextgen consoles and CP2077 is a currentgen project. We'll all regret that the game won't be available on nextgens (at least in the beginning of their life cycle)... I expected a delay, but rather a month or so, not five months.

Expected this the second Square announced Final Fantasy 7 would be moving to a few days beforehand.
Well i guess good news. Was pretty hyped for April though :D.
My backlog will keep me busy anyway ^^
Guess I don't have to rush through Yakuza 1-3 and Persona 5 Royal now! Phew, I'm actually kind of glad.
Plus, more time to polish the game. :D
Oh well can wait. Have more than enough games to play till then. Trying to be good this year and stop buying games so i can clear some of my backlog.
Better delayed than rushed.

Now, if only they take two more months, they could release on CyberMonday...

I doubt this matters at all. PC gamers like me couldn't care less, and the new consoles will be backwards compatible (probably with graphics enhancements), so everybody wins.
And there was a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth
That is ok, take your time. After all, you have my money already.

Not to mention my current PC(s) can't probably run it except maybe in the lowest settings anyway.
CDPR have a lot riding on this so they better get it right so this delay is probably a good thing. Let's hope for the best.
This is a very different reaction (not a bad one) to when they delayed the release to No Man's Sky, people were frothing at the mouth at the idea that they should wait another month for their game they pre-ordered 6 months ago.

I think it matters even for PC gamers. New generation consoles means better graphics even on PCs because the games will be scaled for new hardware. Backwards compatibility is a good thing, but still the graphics quality will be the same as on currentgen consoles. I'm quite disappointed with the decision to delay the game, but of course I can see the advantages. There must be a lot of bugs... :/
Yes, better delayed than released pre-maturely. There is already too much unfinished crap out there and CDPR still has a reputation to lose, that they gained with The Witcher 3. (in spite of Gwent)
