Living Dead Girl

You have a game about a Necromancer that dances and other dead things and you have a song called Living Dead Girl. Seems like the perfect match to me.
Danse Macabre

This game is titled Crypt of the NECROdancer, so why not have a piece whose title literally translates as "Dance of Death".

So, I will throw this song in:

Nine Inch Nails - Closer

The rhythm is perfect for games, and for something else too :D. It grows in intensity as you learn the mechanics of the game and in the end you go totally mad as a true pro.
Drowning Pool - Let the bodies hit the floor

Not only is it an energetic song perfect for a boss battle, but if there are lots of minions to kill off then the lyrics are a perfect match :)

Heres my try at the contest with a video recorded in-game (Bought the game during steam early access)

The track is Pandemic by Immediate Music

www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-6dc2XfUOc

Its great since it starts slow and then get more and more intense towards the end.
Don't know why but the opening song for Season 2 of True Detective came immediately into my mind.
Obligatory link

That beat, man.
Follow me through on this one.

You open the door to the boss room and it's pitch dark. As you open it, this starts playing. /watch?v=_Mbxe33BYW8
The boss is none other than the demon with the golden fiddle. The Devil himself.

(I can't post links, just toss that after the usual youtube link.)
The Soft Moon // "Far"

Any boss that had this as their theme song would make me brown my trousers

and dance

dance... IN TERROR
Men without Hats - Safety Dance

I think this song would be absolutely perfect. As for my reasoning, not only does the song have a good rhythm for a level of the game, but the song is upbeat and has a wonderfully addictive feel about it. *grooves*

A second choice would be Tom Jones - Sex Bomb.
My initial thoughts had fitting lyrics but unvarying tempos so they would just be background music. There were song candidates, but ultimately the gamer in me decided the gameplay was most important. I nominate Holst's Jupiter. A wide range of beats, varying unpredictably enough to keep you on your toes:

Disco Inferno by The Trammps: (The Earl Young Band's version)

This catchy song made some evil minions boogie in a dungeon years ago, so I guess it'll do the trick for the crypt too.

A hit from the 70s that is still fun and refreshing as well as suitable for the new playlist.

Burn, baby, burn!

This may be a stupid question, but does it have to be a CotN boss or can it be any boss fight in general? I'm asking because a lot of people seem to post songs with the latter in mind, although the rules seem to be strictly CotN-based.

I'm cheating a little by using videogame boss music, but Pleather for Breakfast from the No More Heroes OST would totally be appropriate. Especially how the steady backing beat only serves to highlight just how insane and unnerving the rest of it is.
If I had to choice of a new song For Crypt of the Necrodancer I think it would have to be this

Early '80s Electro Funk with Juno-60 & LinnDrum
https://youtu.be/zABzTg4MGCQ

I think this would fit has it has a nice rhythm to it and is catchy. I at least think thats what makes a good stage song for the game. Plus I'm a sucker for 80's synth
Galeforce, by Starscream: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkcPTAqsKQA

Mostly just because it is awesome and the chiptune-y-ness mean it fits well in a retro game. Also it has a several stages, which could correspond to boss forms/stages. And then the end is the boss' death rattle.
