It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

coffeecup: This is already visible and I think in one or two years time they'll drop the installers completely with some reason that they are too much work, too costly to maintain and/or cannot afford to upgrade the available hard drive space in ther content delivery system.
At which point the last of GOGs original principles would have been gone.

paladin181: Did people react this badly to the GoG downloader link on every game page in the library..? Why all the hate for Galaxy?
Is it really necessary to put the "try gog galaxy" button on every game card while its already sticking out at the top of the webpage? Probably not. Its just aggressive advertisement from gog that wishes that all users move from the webstore to the client. I think that much is obvious to everyone now.
How come everyone's acting like the admittedly lurid purple banner is a permanent fixture on the site? GOG just launched a new feature and they want to make sure it's existence is sufficiently noticed.

I'm pretty sure once the word is out enough it'll end up as a "Galaxy" tab or other less obtrusive clickable, probably near headlines or popular/etc frames.

It's similar to the GoG Downloader. It was on EVERY game card. The difference is that Galaxy is more stand alone from the site as you can use it to initiate your downloads directly instead of having to go to their web portal in your browser. And yes, they probably want people to move to the client, which the website will now mirror. It's a change that probably makes things easier for them. Some people won't do it for the simple fact that GoG wants them to some won't want to do because they're afraid "GOG is becoming Steam!!!!1" (they're not). But there's really no reason to not use the client to manage your library (except that at this time it's in BETA... But hey, so is the website!!).

We're not talking about the purple banner, we're talking about the blue button in every game.

Oh that.

To be honest I barely even noticed it was there. The fact it's called "Try" means it's probably temporary too.
