THEBROTHERHOOD: $20 for the Game sans extra goodies (soundtrack etc).
We have some cool launch stuff with GOG that we are ironing out, so tentatively yes!
Sold! I have been waiting for this game ever since I saw the kickstarter. I was hesitating to back it and ended up not doing so :(. I had reasons at the time. I enjoyed parts of Stasis. It's atmosphere, music, and overall design.

Beautiful Desolation is looking very good. I am looking forward to playing it.

Addendum: Time to replay Stasis. ;) It has been 4 years.

PS: Just finished it again. The writing was really well done in Stasis I forgot about the ending and read through all the logs. But, i think I need to replay it again or at least re read the logs. I have not quite followed what happened. I was under certain impressions about his wife based on the logs. I dont want to give more away in case some have not played it.

Mr.Mumbles: Soon? But how soon? =P If it's anywhere near as good as their previous 2 titles, I'm game! ;)
Love this "soon" thing that GOG and CD does lol. I find it more appealing than an official date for some reason haha

THEBROTHERHOOD: >>>>>> I really dislike it when your character is sooooo tiny you can barely see it!

You can zoom in and out, we don' t force any zoom level so you can get closer or see more of the scene if you so wish! :)
Nice!
Thanks for answering. ^^
I hope this will be the next best thing around! I backed it on Kickstarter some time ago and what they have been showing to their backers (great communication with the kickstarter supporters, great guys!) made me certain it will be a great experience. I am a sucker for good atmosphere and in that I can say it has already delivered.
So, imho, looking at the *wink wink* design choices, I like the little references to one of those great post-apo games.
This will be the Fallout 3 game we all deserved, but never got.

Hopefully I can run it on my system. The minimum specs do not seem high, but you never know. I had problems with Numenera, for instance :/

PirroEpirote: I haven't bought Stasis (not a fan of horror in general), but I'm looking forward to this - an easy addition to the Wishlist.

Not only is Chris Bischoff one of the best PC graphics artists around, but the game looks truly bizarre, unique and heartfelt - pretty much the opposite of the design-by-committee standard fare.

Just hoped they would go easier with the chromatic aberration, but I'd have to look at this in action to be sure.

THEBROTHERHOOD: Thanks for the very kind words!

You can turn off all effects in the game. These screenshots were at 4k, so perhaps they over emphasize the CA, but it is barely visible in motion :)

If anybody has non-spoilerish/top secret questions, I am happy to answer!
So, one of the screens looks suspiciously like turn-based combat. So I guess the question is, will there be turn-based combat in there? And if so, any details on the implementation (i.e. more complex than Fallout? Or about the same?) And if not, what's the explanation for that combat-looking animation/screen (or should I say screens, as there's one with dice and one without)?

It is a mini-game that is avoidable and optional although it is a ton of fun and I am sure most players will enjoy it. If you have ever played Space Quest V and it's version of battle ships you might have an inkling of where we are going with this and how it would fit into a story. :) This isn't an RPG.The Dice game is also a mini game. Each is very well integrated into the world and I wouldn't want to spoil it.

Thanks!

We have lots of graphics options, and it should run on most machines, although it does need a higher spec if you turn everything to max and 4k, or ultra-wide.

Those two guys in the splash screen do look suspiciously "ordinary". Are they perhaps lookalikes of the two dev brothers? ;-)

OK not quite as awesome as as a full-on combat mode Fallout style, but as long as it's fun and potentially avoidable then it sounds good to me! I tend to usually play any mini-games and/or turn-based combat things, provided it doesn't end up getting repetitive (because then it'll feel like lazy filler - but your track record so far definitely doesn't lean towards something that lame so I'll trust you that it'll be fun!).

I definitely didn't mind the Space Quest multi-screen battleships game, it fit into SQV quite nicely IMO. It also only occurs twice IIRC (or only once?), so it didn't have a chance to outlast its welcome.

Definitely looking forward to this...

It's really good to hear, thanks for the clarification!

That we all deserved? Hello entitlement issues! Fallout 3 is perfectly fine as it is. We don't deserve a thing. Either you liked it or didn't. If you don't, well that's just tough.

Sooo... "we all" and "entitlement" in one sentence. Interesting. And no, as Fallout 3 was released, people could expect a proper follow-up, not a wannabe. BETHESDA's Fallout 3, not Fallout 3 mind you, had no atmosphere of the original, its plot was ultimately silly and the copycat devs clearly did not understand the dark humour/irony or even the Fallout Boy's presence that were meant to be a comic relief tool to sporadicallty lighten up a pretty serious, or even depressing, atmosphere. Bethesda mixed it all without thinking - let's put Fallout boy eveywhere and make it an in-game mascot, let's make people's motivations in the game ridiculous/tongue-in-the-cheek, let's have a nuke gun, because nuking was all the fun in that world. No, BETHESDA's Fallout is not Fallout, as the original productions were totally misunderstood by those guys.
