Can't these be a news post like GRID just was? GRID had a going away discount, but the point remains. Or I guess I'm supposed to check every new forum post on every business day since it's not even a "blue" thread?

As to what you're supposed to do, I would guess you are expected to have already bought it. Though I myself think funerals ought to be more party like, especially include food service, I can accept when it isn't.

thomq: Just as long as it was nothing to do with today being March 09 (03/09) instead of September 03 (09/03), t.i. the contract ending six months sooner than expected because of misreading dates.

Just came to mind when I saw on today's News Release announcing an update to No Man's Sky and its game page stating "[08.03.2017] Now with the massive Path Finder Update!", obviously referring to March 08 (sort of today...) and certainly not intending August 03.

Year.Month.Day (2017.03.08) would probably be better...maybe... I mean that's how time works: hour.minute.second
Both methods are sorted, just in opposite directions. I think only the US uses the arbitrary retarded rollercoaster that is month/day/year.

It really depends on what the intended usage is.

In every day life it makes more sense to have DD.MM.YYYY because in most cases the variable that changes most often is the day, like three days from now, or a week from now etc.

In archival use, it makes most sense to have YYYY.MM.DD because in most cases it is most helpful to first find the right years, and then finetune the search for an exact month and day.

As far as having the month first, yeah, that doesn't make any sense no matter how you look at it.
Unfortunate it wasn't put on sale before leaving. Nevertheless, thanks for the heads-up. :)

Yep, I agree. Goodbye (hopefully it'll come back) games for me are much like, uh, that moment when you're gonna go down but it's best if you do it like Leon ;P

"M-m-mathilda" ;D
Hopefully, I grabbed it as a freebie in 2015. Never liked the movies but it's a decent FPS. I hate removals.

As I understand it, they like to read it as "March the ninth, twenty-seventeen" rather than "The ninth of March, two-thousand-and-seventeen", and thus use that order even when using only numbers.

Much like Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from GOG.
I should have bought it on sale a few weeks ago.

Damn. :/
Thank you fables22 for letting us know, sad to hear Riddick will be removed. :/ Wish that GOG could implement a clause in their contracts that if the game is to get removed - to give people at least 2-3 days chance to buy it with discount. Would be nice, just saying. :p
I'm still waiting for Second Sight to return.

fables22: Hey everyone,

Just a heads up to let you know that, unfortunately, Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena will be leaving the GOG.com catalog as of 3pm UTC+1 today. We’re sad to see the title go but will do our best to hopefully bring it back at some point in the future!

Edit: It's Dark Athena, of course. Thanks for pointing it out!
Thanks for the heads up.

I think I bought it around it gog release or the first sale after...

Still in my backlog-ToDo list *bows head in shame*
And Riddick is nowhere to be seen now.
