You can now get these classics:

Enjoy the breeze of the past – now out!

Okay, Gunship 2000 DOES have the expansion, but it doesn't have the documentation for the expansion.

It also has pre-filled pilots, which makes me wonder if this is an abandonware copy.

What extras does it come with? (documentation).

I just can't understand why there is zero info on the extras of these games other than Flight of the Intruder.
Hm, judging by the screenshots, Harball ist not from Atari but from Accolade. Weird...

Atari acquired the Accolade copyrights.

It comes with the manuals and such for the original game, but nothing for the expansion, which does have its own manual and tech suppmenent I believe.

Atari has been buying up as many retro games as it can lately. It seems like their general strategy is to be a keeper of games from the original Atari's era while occasionally spitting out new AA-level games that have a retro aesthetic.

Ah, interesting. So there's a good chance to see other games from that era here?

So this version of Gunship 2000 seems ripped from an abandonware site, because the folks on said abandonware site have the same complaints about this version that I do. Joystick isn't enabled, crashing when going into the briefing and so on.

Plus the lack of copy protection docs for the expansion theaters leads all to an insanely lazy release.

The CD version of the game currently works better than the GOG version.

This is my favorite flight sim, but right now I can't recommend people buying it.

If you want to play Gunship 2000, buy the CD-ROM version.

Thank you.
The extras (manuals, map, reference card) for Flight of the Intruder cannot be downloaded at the moment. The urls were missing a slash after "secure", but adding them back in doesn't resolve the issue either.

Veloxi: If you want to play Gunship 2000, buy this instead:
I would remove the link, GOG doesn't allow it, unless you've got their permission. ;-)

2.18. Gambling and selling (including real-life or in-game trading), advertising, referrals, links to other stores, auctioning or engaging in any other commercial activities – unless specifically permitted by GOG;

And thanks for the warning about missing content. Luckily, I still own the original Gunship games on CD, so I will ignore the GOG release.

Oh, good call, thank you.

Further proof that Gunship 2000 is an abandonware version. This is the roster from the GOG/Steam version:

This is the roster from the original version upon first installing the game:

The publisher basically found an abandonware version SOMEONE ELSE HAD ALREADY PLAYED, and just uploaded it as their own version.

Freaking gross. Please don't buy this version of Gunship 2000, my friends. It's my favorite flight sim, and it pains me to write this, but y'all need to be warned.

Not actually interested in these games, but does anyone know what platform(s) these games were originally released for? (It certainly isn't the Atari 2600, as the graphics look too fancy for that.)

Harball alone was released on over a dozen 8 and 16 bit systems including Atari computers, Commodore 64 and Amiga , MS-Dos MSX, Sega Genesis etc.
