Hickory: Look further afield than yourself.
Generally I'm interested for the good of the community as you can see on this post for example even for things that don't seem mandatory to me. Of course I like the forum to be free of spam and other problems as it is the place where we all come to chill out after a day full of (hard or not) work.

That been said, maybe you're right as I don't spend much time on the forum the last two weeks (working too much at the moment) and it seems I'm not that affected by the problems, like everybody does.

Anyway, as i said, i'm sure the problems will get sorted by the team soon. Thanks for your comment though! Cheers!

Klumpen0815: Galaxy is what I mind the most.
Maybe soon all the files outside of Galaxy will have names like "product_bonus_4716", new offline updates won't be available anymore, worst case would be backdoor DRM, etc...

Klumpen0815: They did?
Personally, I should say I'm not even 10% interested in Galaxy. I just mentioned it because there are many people that wait for it. I just take the official word for it that "it's optional" and know that if it proves a lie, you'll find me in the first row fighting it. I just can't take it for granted that it will be some sort of DRM, at least not before it launches so we can all see what's all about it. I share your concern about it i'm concerning about it too, I just keep calm for now.

Also, I already know about the threads you've posted, I'm not that new to the forum after all! As for the GOG principles, it is sad that we have regional pricing but I think that we can fight it by not using our wallets. As for what I wanted to say (but I didn't got it quite right in my first post) is that from all the principles, DRM free is what I value the most and that's what is the most important for me. I can fight Regional Pricing by not buying the regionally priced games, but how am I supposed to fight DRM? By not buying games at all, that's right. That's why it is the most important principle for me and the one I wouldn't want GOG to abandon. Because the next moment I l'm outta here as the majority of GOGers too! ;-)

It's not as bad as all that. While I can't disagree with any of NoNewTaleToTell's points, GOG is still a great store. The forum spam issue is becoming a major nuisance (as any of us who've been plugging away at flagging it can attest), at least for those that visit certain forums here; but for the vast majority of customers who seldom, if ever, visit the forums, the issue with logging in apparently not working correctly and other account-related glitches (none of which I have experienced, although they are definitely a problem) are really the only major things for a new customer to worry about (and they're working on fixing that). If you're looking to use the forums a lot and be part of the community, you'll be faced with a lot of strong -- often clashing -- opinions on what direction GOG should take, where their focus should lie, etc.; but don't let that convince you that this is a bad site, or a bad community. Both are great, by and large. Just don't take to heart the opinions of a small number of users who have mistaken a commercial site for a social crusade, and you'll be fine. =)

Oh, and welcome to GOG!

TwoHandedSword: Oh my!
This made me laugh so hard, I didn't even see that I typed it like that, and I came home from work, and read the replies on this board, and I saw your comment, and I just laughed! Much needed after a long day at work.

It's no trouble. I had some time off in between being an annoying smart-ass and being long-winded and pedantic. =D
Though this might be an unpopular thing to say here, I never experienced any trouble with this site. I bought games, traded, participated in giveaways, did my own giveaway, exchanged pm's, I use the forum a lot, I never ever experienced any problems, not the slightest, not at all. And I am totally confident with the site in general. Of course, there's always room for improvements. But nothing that really bothers me.
One thing I don't understand about the internet. With all the controversy about how privacy is a myth and the government can find out everything about anyone online, how come nobody has put that power to good use and organised an international task force dedicated to hunting down spammers, ripping their arms out of their sockets, and beating them to death with the soggy end?

It'd be much harder to protest snooping if some good was coming from it, after all.

Klumpen0815: "It's currently not on top of our priority list"
Makes me wonder what actually is *Galaxy aside*.Its been a few years since the launch and the forums have been never fully completely working in the way it should be. ie search has been broken since.............forever?.
