Hirako__: Also the PC version of GoW and Uncharted were released very recently - just 1 to 2(for GoW) years ago and not half a decade
The one GoW that GOG is confirmed to be getting is from 2018, so that is indeed from half a decade ago.

There was another GoW game released after that, but there is no indication that GOG will be getting that one too, which is probably because GOG won't be getting it, at least not any time soon.

viranimus: /yawn

Sony makes their exclusives available to GoG and what do we get? The game with so many copies out there that they sold it retail for 10$ in HZD, A compilation of mostly Ps3 titles in Uncharted. The Forgetable dud in Days gone.

Well at least God Of War is on the horizon I guess.

Still not a bloodborne or Demon's souls remake. /sigh

Dont get me wrong, Im glad GoG is getting better about releasing proper, modern games but these are still pretty unimpressive and indicative of the "second class gaming citizen" Gog still holds as it relates to releases. Left to endlessly be stuck with leftovers from a half decade or more ago.

Memecchi: I'm (not) sorry but you have no idea what you're talking about lol, GOG is not getting any second class treatment here, Bloodborne is not on PC and who knows if it ever will, the Demon's Souls remake is a PS5 exclusive for now and this Uncharted Collection only includes the PS4 games

Feel free to dislike whatever you want, but at least get your facts right
TO start, yeah you got me on Uncharted. That was my own error in seeing the word collection and thinking it had multiple games and not just what amounted to the DLC for U4. Should have been labeled correctly as U4 definitive edition as they are both tied together down to sharing many of the same assets.

As for the rest, Meh... a bunch of distinctions with no actual differences. You are right about DsS but there is no good reason for it. BB is kinda a gray area thanks to PSNow allowing people to play it on PC. Either case its irrelevant as Sony is not above trolling out exclusives for PC. From Software is now firmly entrenched into multi platform releases with PC now. So there is no reason why fromSofts whole library of titles (even Kings field stuff) is not readily available on PC when ports are so easy to make that fans can effectively make them, And have in the case of Bloodborne.

As for second class gaming citizens, which IS the primary point here, As that is a statement about using Gog on the whole. Not specific to Sony releases. It doesnt matter what it is, we RARELY get new, triple A level games on release. (forgoing CDPR stuff of course) Even for corporations GoG has partnerships with.

We JUST got 10+ year old Skyrim for example despite having partnerships with Bethesda and NOW with Microsoft. No Starfield here though. We havent gotten a new EA game in ages. Does Activision even make games any more? Wouldnt know from GOG. Point is the same, when it comes to new releases you regularly see "Available on Playstation, Xbox, Steam Epic," etc but rarely if ever do we see GOG on anything more than indie releases at release.

On the flipside of that, We DONT get most triple A type games until WAY past the point that the sales have bottomed out and the game is nearing the end of any sort of developer support. GOG has partnerships with Activision for example but we only get lesser known titles and we are still waiting for things like Diablo 2, Or hell even Starcraft 1. From EA, we got some KOTOR and the underrated Jade Empire out of Bioware as well as Dragon Age 1 but still no Dragonage 2 OR 3, NONE of the mass effect games. So we sure as shit are not being considered for Dreadwolf on release.

And God forbid GOG pursue exclusives. What was the last notable GOG exclusive? Project Warlock??? Thronebreaker??? Both of which were exclusive only for a very short time.

I mean what IS the most recent "big name" game we got at release? Balders Gate 3? Hrm... Even that is kind of a shitty example because its also an antiquated game mechanic with its Isometric bullshit and being churned out by what is still a very indie studio . So its real difficult to even call it a "modern" game.

Even indies turn their backs to Gog. For example Darkest Dungeon and Rogue Legacy.

So kindly dont try to piss on my shoes and tell me it is raining cause GOG absolutely is second class gaming if that is your only PC gaming outlet. Cause at the end of the day if GOG was your only gaming outlet, you would be incredibly unsatisfied with how long past the point of cultural relevance you have to wait before getting access to big named titles save for a TINY trickle.

So my points still very much stand. Your snarkiness about it doesnt really alter the premise at all.

Voting with your wallet doesnt actually work very well very often. Especially when all the pencil pushers see is nominal returns from selling borderline retro and antique games that have already priced dropped to the point of fiscal irrelevance. So the problem is definitely NOT getting better.

All the while GOG keeps caving on principles more and more every year and rendering itself more and more morally indistinguishable from other companies while trying to survive on a grossly inferior library and unspeakably smaller userbase.

I still support GOG but every year it gets harder and harder to justify that support even as my game library pushes closer and closer to 1k titles and like a 3rd of the available movies. If GOG is not actively trying to compete in this field whats the point? Relying on the "old games" market is its own doomed proposition. Its difficult to watch something you have fought so hard to support and defend slip further and further out of relevance and allowing the gaming world to slowly pass it by and us as consumers along with it.

What's his name is correct because you are complaining about PS-only games not coming to GOG, while they're not even on PC at all. Also, by how bad modern AAA games have been on day one release, I would want to buy the game later. Looking at Starfield.

It's funny how you really expect stores with less than 10% of the market to have exclusives. The only reason Epic can do that is because of the money they have. GOG will never be on the level of steam.

You are getting upset over nothing right now.

No not really. The PC port we are confirmed to be getting is from 2022 so indeed nearly 2 years later(compared to steam).

Also that yawn-ing guy - imagine calling BG3 a shitty example just because you don't like it. We live indeed in an "interesting" world...

I believe BG3 was one of the most popular and highly-rated games this year, right? That yawn-in was discussing Starfield, but is criticizing BG3 at the same time, while Starfield has received mixed reviews on Steam. Guess it's all just opinions. haha
Thanks for the game and good black friday for everyone!
Thank you for the amazing additions GOG.

mechmouse: missing Tomb Raider games
Yup, I always hope for at least Rise and Shadow to show up for people.

viranimus: ...
Yes, GOG is basically a second-class or second-hand store, or maybe there's a better term. They don't make much money so big-name devs and publishers don't really care about them. That's just how it is. If you don't care much about installers and backing up your games, yeah I'm not sure there's much reason to shop here. I still see GOG as the best competition to Steam, despite the fact that GOG will almost certainly never be as big as Steam.

I think there's potential with GOG saving up money and pre-paying / minimum guarantee - ing for highly-desired games. Maybe that's how they got the Sony games here.

I guess all we can do is crawl in our skin and hope GOG diiiiiieeeessss so we can finally have buy on Steam. /s ;)

GOG is now charted! I believe we are all happy to see Uncharted here!

Thank you so much for the giveaway Cyanide Studio / Nacon and GOG!
Perhaps instead of throwing their customers under a bus for marketing. It would make more sense to increase the point of offline gaming as a good thing. As in, to explain to noncustomers(free advertising via youtube?) why DRM is bad. GOG can use their account to make comments in gamer channels. Pitching free game events usually gets a thumbs up boost. A few thousand newbs will like the DRM free idea. Increase in sales via other free advertising venues should be a priority.

Someone on forum should make a thread about pitching gog staff, some viable marketing ideas. Instead of complaining about the company going under.

Question. As Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection never came to PC: do you need to have played Uncharted 1/2/3 before playing 4?
