We are holding a special contest to celebrate the release of Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain!

Join in by simply getting creative and coming up with a new armor set and weapon for Kain to slay his enemies with, and let us know about it in the comments.

The 15 best answers will win a GOG key for the game. You can submit your answers until October 7th, 3 PM UTC.
A nice Dwarven chain armor, no plates to stay mobile enough.
And as a weapon a nice Dwarven axe to trim down those wooden stakes the enemies might come up with before chopping them down.
Armor:
A Fremen-style suit which filters Kain's bodily fluids and turns them into re-drinkable liquid, just with less blood cells. This will allow Kain to lose HP at a slower pace than usual.

Weapon:
A circular stainless-steel boomerang (aka Bloodmerang) which has a unique design. It has detailed crevices near the edges, which allow a small portion of the victim's blood to flow seamlessly on the weapon and end up being stored in a small compartment in the boomerang's center. After it returns, Kain can consume the stored blood for a few HP.
Sword of the Goddess: Similar to Ianna's from Blade of Darkness. Can be thrown as a ranged attack, perform supernatural slash and hits with (un)holy damage. Its design has a head engraved at the hilt.

A Black Armor, exactly the same as the one that Necropolis unit Black/Dread Knight wears, in Heroes of Might and Magic 3. Complete with spikes at shoulder-plate and that smexy helm, with red eyes glowing.
Something new maybe. Your armor is your sword , your sword is your armor now. When you hit an enemy with your sword you cant give them damage but collecting protection points. When they attacing you your armor reflect that damage around. So you need to jump every trap around . Funy gameplay mechanic
Armor:
Kinetic armor - initially a dark tone, as you take damage it “charges up” and starts to glow brighter and brighter, once charged you release an AOE attack that pushes enemies back and does damage.

Weapon:
War hammer - powerful but slow 2 handed weapon. Attack can be held down to charge up a more powerful attack. When enemies are killed with the hammer they explode like when Kain uses a spell to crush/explode his foes.
Armor: Yellow Rain Slicker
There's nothing special about it in terms of armor class, but it is guaranteed to protect Kain against rain, holy water, blood splatter and dubious amounts of sunlight or your money back.

Weapon: Sword Cane Umbrella
Kain can look stylish with his matching umbrella. "I'm just a normal guy going for a walk on a bright sunny day in anticipation of rain." If anyone isn't buying it, he can use it in umbrella mode to block wooden stakes or pull out the sword for some fun stabby stabby time. We all know that vampires like a good stabby stabby time provided that they're the ones performing it.
Floodplate - Thick plate armor resistant to piercing attacks(stakes), with a row of slats that funnel blood into the suit. The slats curve slightly and are angled downward such that even flexible thrusting weapons, such as rapiers, would at most cause light flesh wounds, possibly breaking or becoming caught in the opening. No slats are placed near the heart, of course. That would be silly.

Blooming Pike - A heavy lance, generally too large for practical use by humans, with several spring-loaded blades near the tip, which fan out when triggered. When sprung in an impaled target, the blades would cause internal damage and exsanguination almost guaranteed to be lethal.
Kain might use it to spear a victim, hoist them overhead and deploy the blades, causing substantial quantities of blood to pour over Kain and be fed into the armor.

In-game, both items drain blood on regular kills, reducing the need to need to interrupt combat to heal.
The weapon is strong and far-reaching, but disables the use of spells, and the effect needs to be "reloaded" with the spell key between kills.
Each item provides 25% of the blood of a normal drain individually, but when paired this is boosted to 75%.

A magic staff that prevents the enemy from using their weapons without an internet connection.
greedful betrayer: a powerful sword that makes it's user lose it's principles to gain power

Draconic Red Monstrosity: a cursed armor that bind itselfs to it's bearer, and even after beign destroyed thousands of times, can always returns to "protect" it's user.
Bloodthirsty weapon and armor set. Both are pretty weak in normal condition. Although... With each kill its stats willa bit improve. I.E. better defense and stronger attacks. But this bonuses are temporary. To keep it you have to kill again and again. More higher stats means more blood is required. So no time to keep away from battles. Nothing for peace love players :)
Oh, why not, might as well try...

ARMOR: Reaper's clutches
A fine black robes, said to be sewed by Death itself. The material seems to be floating, propagated in air by some mysterious force.

Every time your body receives fatal hit there's a high chance damage will be nullified and portion of your mana restored.
As you spend time in veil of shadows your enemies will become oblivious to your presence allowing you to slip past them in ghostly manner.
However, Death is not so easy to bargain with thus all the time you have this item equipped your life be reduced to 10% of your total amount.

**UPGRADE PATHS** [only one can be chosen]

Astral assassin -your weapons will deal damage to any being inhabiting this or other realms, ignoring their resistances up to 65%.

Black mage -having gathered vast amount of knowledge in arcane arts your spells will deal triple damage but drain your mana reserves twice as fast. In case of illusion/fortifying spells their duration is 55% longer, summoning spells gain 3 more stacks but your whole mana reserve is required for cast.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

SWORD: Unholy stinger
A royal sword lost to time, most likely a property of some long forgotten vampire clan. Couple of strange markings seem to be etched into blade's hilt. You cannot discern their meaning but as you hold it further they feel strangely familiar.

Every slash of this weapon will invigorate you with power providing bonus to your defense, health and attack though your speed will suffer and be reduced by 20%.
WEAPON SKILL: VILE TRANSFUSION: At any distance, merely pointing a sword at you prey will sap them of all life energies and transfer them directly at you restoring your health fully. Every second use will reanimate your victim as blood hungry, rotten minion ready to follow your crusade. (max. stack 3)

**UPGRADE PATHS** [only one can be chosen]

Sentient steel -depending on amount of blood running through your veins you'll gain new movesets in your arsenal:
55% health - chance to deflect attack
75% health - ranged slash
100% health -double strike

Vampire legacy -filled with unquenchable thirst, all your feedings will yield much more blood and be twice as fast but only during late nights (22:00 PM - 5:00 AM).

His birthday suit and bare hands (advantage: double stats on everything from sheer confidence)
Armor: Madness Plate
Description: Crafted by Unknown Hands, it was reinforced to combat Vampires and Humans alike, and in it's Platinum splendor belies a sinister aura. It is known to drive the weak willed to Madness should they try to wear it. It covers the body from head to toe in what looks like the thickest of plate armor, but is actually quite light and easy to move in. It is almost otherworldly.....

Weapons: Hydra's Fangs
Description: A Pair of Katars that seem to constantly drip with the venom of a Hydra, a Venom potent enough to affect even supernatural creatures like Vampires. Even without the venom seems to be a stronger than the average weapon, belying it's Unknown but also clearly Non-Human creator. To this day, it is unknown who made it and where it was originally forged.

Edit: I forgot effects, well if the descriptions aren't obvious enough, The Armor is strong in general and causes Confusion or Insanity amongst enemies (Or whatever Blood Omen's Equivalent is.) while the latter are quick weapons that are capable of inflicting poison on any creature, even ones normally immune to it. While stronger than ordinary weapon forged by mortal hands, it is primarily focused on speed rather than strength.

Armor: Thorny Plate
Spiked armor that damages enemies when Kain comes into contact with them whether in an attack on simply brushing against them. The armor would start out as a brownish maroon, but gradually turns a bright crimson as it is used to inflict damage on the enemy. After a period of time the blood would dry turning the armor back to it's original maroon appearance.

Weapon: Briar whip
A spiked whip that can be used to attack from medium range, pull enemies into close range and onto the armor, or be thrown to entangle the target.

Bloodthrall Gauntlets
"Fearsome weapons of war, the Bloodthrall Gauntlets provide another pair of hands in more ways than one. With each vicious bite, the Gauntlets tear the very flesh and blood from my unfortunate foes and turn it against them -- for once supplied with enough viscera, the Gauntlets transform it into the raw material of an abhorrent construct, bound to do my gruesome bidding on the battlefield. Carnage begets carnage, so it seems."

These gauntlets are a very short-range weapon that absorb blood into themselves as Kain strikes with them, which is displayed in a separate bar on the interface. The color of the blood doesn't matter -- red, blue, black, or green -- with enough blood of any kind, the player can hold down the attack button and then release to summon a blood golem that will attack Kain's enemies autonomously. The blood golem dissipates over time or after sustaining enough damage.

Runic Mail
"The aged and frail appearance of this ancient armor might mark it as mere refuse to simpler minds. But anyone learned in the arcane arts will recognize the latent power within the Runic Mail. Etched with sorcerous glyphs to enhance the channeling of raw magickal power, this armor enhances the the recovery of the wearer's energy reserves and lends greater force to the spells they cast. On occasion it is even known to drink the energy of hostile spells into itself...a fitting raiment for one such as I."

Though weaker than any other armor type in terms of defensive power, the Runic Mail improves Kain's magickal energy recovery speed and applies a bonus to offensive spells' attack power. There is a slight chance that any hostile spell cast on Kain will be nullified and instead replenish Kain's energy reserves.
