It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Barefoot_Monkey: Hi. Sorry for being silent for so long; I've been away doing rock climbing, but I'm back now :)

I'm working on a nice new surprise feature for the script which I hope to get ready by Christmas. Realistically, with all the wonderful distractions this time of year, it will probably be a few days later.

After that I'm planning some improvements for GOGWiki itself (better handling of image URLs, dealing with those annoying backslashes before apostrophes in game titles (the webhost has PHP Magic Quotes enabled, which is somewhat evil) and something I'm sure will be very useful - a journal of all games added or removed from your account)

I haven't forgotten about the problems some of you have been having, and will continue to see what I can do about that. (Looks like I'll need to update my seamonkey - I'm still on 2.29.1)

First thing's first, though - got to check out that Nordic Games sale before it ends :)
found a workaround for seamonkey

install essentials and scriptify under 2.30 and then you can install 2.31 it will still work

coffeecup: BareFootEssentials still has the same problem on Windows 7 64 Bit with a 32 Bit Mozilla SeaMonkey 2.31 (and Scriptish 0.1.11). Syncin does not finish.

HypersomniacLive: For now, perhaps try the workaround mentioned here by snowkatt?
Sorry for the inconvenience, but BareFoot Essentials has been broken since the GOG shop revamp (I used SM 2.30 there). The script is partially working, but not the synchronization. Dunno why, but I guess that the root cause is that the script uses some Firefox idiosyncracies / shorthands / hooks which are not present in SeaMonkey.

I'm trying to do a blank install with only the bare minimum requirements for the script.

I did some research regarding SeaMonkey 2.31: the culprit is the current stable release of Scriptish (0.11.1). It does not work with Firefox 30+ (and SeaMonkey 2.30+).

If you install the most recent Scriptish nightly build from https://github.com/scriptish/scriptish-nightlies/releases/tag/nightly-2014-11-20-1200 BareFoot Essentials works. It is possible that you have to reinstall the BFE though.

Sync works now.

Hi!

Could you please explain what you did, in a "for dummies" way? I use Opera as browser and the sync function is not working. I could use any other browser if needed.

coffeecup:
Thanks coffeecup! Finally I was able to update the Wiki site.

In case anyone want to update their Wiki page but can't, try this:

1. Download SeaMonkey. I used v2.31, downloaded from here.
2. Once SeaMonkey has been installed, download Scriptish from here. I used v2014-11-20 12:00.
3. Completed the steps above, install Barefoot Essentials from here.
4. Now log in GOGwiki. Go to gog.com and choose the sync option, it will end this time!

I did a bit of research, if there is an alternative to Scriptish for SeaMonkey available and found a working port for SM on http://sourceforge.net/projects/gmport/. It is working with Barefoot Essentials.

Installation procedure:
- create a backup of your current installed user scripts in your SeaMonkey profile (Windows: %APPDATA%\Mozilla\SeaMonkey\Profiles\*.default\scriptish_scripts)
- download SM extension from http://sourceforge.net/projects/gmport/
- deactivate Scriptish and restart your browser.
- install the GreaseMonkey Port extension by dropping it onto the browser
- go to https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/1758-barefoot-essentials-for-gog-com and reinstall the script
- select "activiate greasemonkey & install the script" (this is only for the first time you install a user script)

Caveats:
- only tested on Mozilla SeaMonkey 2.30, please report if it is working on more recent versions.
- you have to reinstall all your user scripts
- you may have to reconfigure all your user script settings
- some of the user scripts working with scriptish may not work on greasemonkey

Big plus side of the ported GreaseMonkey extension is that it will process user scripts much faster than Scriptish.

Thank you for your research. Barefoot Essentials syncing now works again.
Browser: SeaMonkey 2.32.1
Ah, my home Internet is back again so I can get back to work on the next update at last :)

Thanks for doing the research and finding that. I'll spend some time giving it a test drive and probably switch to recommending gmport for SeaMonkey users instead of Scriptish.

I have listed the Greasemonkey port on the Barefoot Essentials wiki page. If your intention was for you to do the only editing of that page, sorry for the edits I made.
