Breja: It makes me wonder, was there ever a computer RPG that attempted a "diorama" visual style? With characters represented as figures, the world as still diorama models? I think there was a quest in Fable 3 that did something kinda like that, but I don't remember well.

adaliabooks: Crimson Shroud on DS is what you're looking for.
The characters are models (with bases and everything) and as far as I remember the scenery is diorama like. You roll dices and it plays out like a pen and paper RPG.
It's a bit short, but a good game anyway.

And that diorama is pretty awesome. Reminds me of the battlefields they used to use at GWs Gamesday for playing the big Warhammer battles on.

Green_Hilltop: 3DS, actually. :D I looked it up since it seemed fun (a pen and paper RPG? And on the DS? Sounds great!) but it's 3DS only.
Sorry! XD

I remembered my mistake just after posting but didn't have a chance to correct it...

That does look splendid. And there's going to be a DRM-free release! I wonder if it will be too niche for GOG :P

It sounded like the developers didn't even consider it last year, according to their comments thread at their Kickstarter page. Somebody asked, but the developer's reply didn't even touch the word "GOG", they mentioned Steam instead.
Wow, fantastic work! The detail level is mindblowing. I wouldn't use it for D&D though as it would take away all the imagination but still, it's great as decoration. Some parts of it even reminded me of Anno 1404, especially the photo with the tavern by the river.

Well, they did say there's going to be a DRM-free release, so they'll have to use something other than Steam too. I guess the Humble Store release might be the DRM-free one. I can live with that.

Supposedly Steam is thought to have some DRM-free items. I understand from some of the posts in GOG's forums that it's not the same sort of DRM-free as from GOG. IIRC, HumbleBundle (sp?) was mentioned, too, but I'm not really familiar with that. I keep hearing HumbleBundle gives out Steam keys for the DRM-free parts, so that seems potentially contradictory.

Edit: This comment from Adam Thomas on October 29, 2015 mentions it and this comment from Tin Man Games a few above it replies to it.

Some games on Humble Store are DRM-free and those work pretty much like GOG- you just download the game and install it.

You may want to check out this thread:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/the_evolution_of_tin_man_games_and_adventure_gamebooks
From today, shows a link to the Humble store where you can buy them - it is humble so DRM free (unless someone can confirm) might need to be taken with a pinch of salt. You can also check out my thread:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/fighting_fantasy
As I would like them here too.
