Hello, fellows. What about such proposal - on the home page of the game would be mentioned whicth version of the game and patch notes? I think, it would be great to know what changes were included to the game (before buying it). I added this proposition to Community wishlist - "Write version of the Game on the store page"!
Definitely a good idea that I believe a lot of customers would appreciate, however if GOG does this they need to do it in a way that it is as automated as possible and does not rely on some human process to have to update the version numbers manually, otherwise the version shown will be incorrect probably a fair amount of time due to human error inherent in doing boring tedious work. :)

Good idea, voted for it.
I think game version is the most important part here as patch notes can often be sourced elsewhere.
I meant, that it would be great to see what corrections were made to the game (on example well-known service - I will not mention the name, only underpin screenshot what it have), before its purchase. In the above mentioned service of digital distribution such opportunity is present. I Believe that the Service GOG.com wouldn't be worse with this feature, but instead will be more friendly to the visitor and / or customer. :)

Alas, at the very least they could easily add the link to the changelog on every game page.

Adalia Fundamentals, by our fellow GOGger adaliabooks, has this feature, so until *cough cough* GOG does it natively, those comfortable with using userscripts can install it. The script also has many more features that greatly enhance the user experience.

And for those wanting to vote for LifeLover's wish entry, here's a direct link to it.
Voted for this. Also you may wish to vote on this wishlist entry (573 votes currently), which is similar to yours. There are many others asking for game version numbers to be added, such as this (700 votes), this (4018 votes), and many others with fewer votes. I've voted for those as well :p
Voted for it.

A lot of time I go to thrift stores and pick up old game CDs. Trying to figure out what the current patch version number of those games are can be a real hassle and this could help.
