nightcraw1er.488: So y is very unlikely to release anything more on GOG. The cyberjunk debacle proved how bad CDPr are and Sony dropped it completely from their store. I doubt they would want any further association. If you want to play those games, best play on ps3/4/5. I know it’s not ideal, the PS4 only outputs hd so it’s annoying on an ultra wide monitor, but if you buy the discs then there is just the disc check. And the ps3 emulator has come on a long way.

UhuruNUru: Dumb Take Sony don't decide where to release games on anything, but if SONY games sell well, not 3rd Party Published games.

The biggest factor determining whether GOG get other SONY published games, is the sales of Horizon:zero Dawn.
To be honest I NEVER expected to see ANY Somy publshed game here, never mind that one.
I bought it on Steam, just happy to see it on PC, then within 4 months it came to GOG.

Days Gone hasn't come to GOG, and so I doubt any more Sony games will come to GOG, much as I'd like them to.
I won't be waiting for a GOG release of Forbidden West, unless Days Gone, God Of War, and whatever other games Sony releases in the mean time.

If I'm wrong I will gladly by the GOG version, even if I own the game on Steam, but few value offline installers, and store client free gaming as much as me, even on GOG, and devs give us a second class service far to often, I don't mind waiting longer for patches, but I do object to never getting them.

Simple fact is far too many people buy from Steam, and too few Any other store, not even Epic.
I Doubt Epic's share is that high, even for the games they paid big bucks for, most gamers waited for Steam release
Epic are burning through their Fortnite money hand over fist, and seen little benefit from It.

The disclosure docs in Apple lawsuit make that crystal clear, Steam has far to many uncritical fangirls.
Epic's Anti-Consumer tactics have gained no converts outside the Steam echo chamber either.
Lots of people grab their free games, but I suspect few if any of them spend much money their.

Then again, I don't fall for the "Get free base game", BS. with Unspoken bit being "You'll never see added content in a sale afterwards".

Having 100s of old games, when 95% are games I'll never, play and the good 5% I already own.

GamePass won't even guarantee access, games get rolled off, all the time. GamePass Rental Sucks.
So I'll be sticking to buying my PC games, and modding them for years at MY will.
Streaming is even worse, and fails to gain any traction with PC gamers, hell even NFTs did better, and we ALL gamers hate that shit.

I've never seen ANY games I actually wanted, and didn't buy years earlier given away for "Free", from any store, GOG included.

The last game I purchased on Steam was more than a year ago. I intend to keep it that way. I "own" on Steam most video games that I want to play, but which are not likely to get a DRM-free release in the foreseeable future.

However, there have been quite a few newer release that I would like to play, but are only on Steam and doesn't seem like they are coming to GOG. In order of how important they are to me:

1. Uncharted 4 PC version (accounced, though not yet released). I am playing Uncharted 2 on PS3 right now, and having a good time. I would like to get it on GOG, but I assume it will be a Steam only release.
2. Elden Ring
3. God of War.

I would pay for all these games, but unfortunately, it seems like we are only getting them on Steam. The game by Sony that I think I would be the least interested in, that is Horizon: Zero Dawn, is the only one on GOG.

I feel frustrated, because I want to play these games, but I am not paying so much money for DRM'ed versions. Anyone else in a similar situation?

Wish they would just release them on GOG.

Can't mod in BIG BOOBS if you stream the game. Viewers won't know you modded the BIG BOOBS in unless you expose the underBOOBS scarring.

TheGrimLord: Secondly, I asked him as a developer, what would have happened to this site if Cyberpunk 2077 had been a commercial success? He stated that the game would have opened a lot of AAA doors for CDPR. There was a partnership with WB you might recall. If the game had been everything that was expected of it from day one (and I know it's made great strides since then) we wouldn't have the kind of storefront we do now. There's no doubt in his mind that other developers and companies would have gladly brought their games over to a store where such an acclaimed title was being sold. GOG were banking on that game to be successful, and when it failed to meet the standards of their investors, it really ruined things for them.
