It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

So, how long do I have to continue to hate the redesign before it is more than just hating something new?

Seriously though, the way the site works now is not how my brain works and it is frustrating the crap out of me.

The review improvements are excellent.

The new page layout is inefficient and not nearly as informative as the old layout.

There's no stretch of the imagination where this would be called functional

The biggest issue for me is that "News" section or the almost lack off.
Small and to the bottom??? and unable to scroll far enough back in time.

It is making it really hard for me to keep up as it is now. I just see me missing out on quite a few games, sales etc in the future.
I am still stumbling around, however; while I don't think it is as functional as the old version I will eventually get use to it.

To me they went for "more glitz" and less functional. Usability took a hit too.

Engerek01: Is there a way to turn off those annoying autoplays? They are everywhere!

Engerek01: I am guessing nobody has found a solution for that yet. I used to visit GOG daily, 4-5 times a day sometimes. Now I do not even want to enter.
Same here, I changed my bookmark to the forum instead since everything else is completely broken for me. At this point, I'm just waiting for them to break the forum as well (or the rest of it at least, since the news threads are already...).

If you want to just read the news, this works: https://www.gog.com/frontpage/rss
I'm also very sceptical about this update.
* The new review system seems cool but I still don't know if we can edit (or at least delete + post anew) old reviews and old scores.
* The new frontpage (espcially the news) as well as the new store that we cannot have as a list anymore are aweful to browse. :(
If you remove the first 1080 pixels of each page you almost get a page that is useful. Gog, why are you using customers as testers for pie in the sky redesigns?
when i check game series, i can't now see - release date, price, and review rating. need to click each game to see this, even when i enter game page, i need to scroll to find useful info.
old design was much more useful.

I don't see the daily deal anywhere on the main page.
I don't know it this was around since the first layout , but i just noticed this on the store page:

https://www.gog.com/games

in the language list a redundant item : Nederlands ???

check attachment: whats_the_use_of.png
to see my first reaction when i noticed that Nederlands was along the list of languages, whos speaks nederlands ?

The Dutch ( many with an accent that is impossible to understand) and maybe a few in Belgium , all the other languages are widely spoken in many parts of the world, but Dutch ( Nederlands) should not be on the list.....

Too much eyecandy ....... thats one of the main problems of the new layout
bad or half finished code, a fluid design should be able to even detect my 1024x768 resolution, even many free websites have a script to do that, but i have to decrease the font to 90 or 80% or some parts wont show up ....
I have to make it 100% again or i cant read the forum sad sad sad ... (+_+).

Many sites switched to a new design BUT....(yes its a but in caps again) they offer a link to the new design OR they they say: if you woyld use the old/current layout ... you can use the old site ...

Developing a new layout LIVE while people visit, is like pulling a teeth without anesthetic , very painfull

Anyway all the ZOOoming IN and Out!!! is also redundant, in the past some sites highlighted an object when mouse over by adding a bright outline around the object..( purple, bright red, yellow or gold). the horror (✖﹏✖)

.................

Browsing now has become a task a very heavy assignment , a huge challenge

Anyway i'm off :D gonna 'recover' from this browsing session by playing a nice game :D
Lets hope we wont miss out on good deals because we need to use a map to guide us through the website in search for new games and deals ....

Being old, I hate any change.

Now I have to scroll to the bottom for news. It's complete anarchy!

>browse through the store
>hover a game title
>a video starts autoplaying
What were they thinking? They also removed the game's title if you don't hover its cover.
