It is strange that the games aren't back yet.

Not only did he miss the Winter Sale completely, but the games still are not back and he hasn't tweeted about gog at all in the months since that promise. The Sokobond guy also hasn't tweeted about the removal at all, and is way more active on Twitter than Carpe Fulgur was. (Though he did tweet about gog before the removal, including an old question about a gog contract which may or may not be a reason he's letting the game disappear from gog, assuming he's even aware of it's removal by now.)
Some of those games are good and have a better chance to sell here where they do not drown in a million other games.
STILL no Recettear update, but Sokobond is gone for good.

2 months later and not only are they still not back, he deleted his previous tweets from when he said they would come back last Christmas.
Just found out Mutant Mudds was here at some point and now I'm sad.

You shouldn't be. If I remember correctly the game wasn't updated here, and it got slammed for it. So in typical catch 22, nobody bought it and the developer didn't update it.

Still, it would have been a good game for a deep discount on the summer sale. I have the game on Steam but it unfortunately requires me to log in every time I play it and needless to say, it requires the client running in order to play unlike Alpha Protocol or Styx.

It requires you to start the Steam client, log in to the Steam client, and have it running in the background while playing the game? That's pretty much the standard for the majority of games on STEAM. If anything, I'm surprised Alpha Protocol and Styx can be played offline.

There's a whole slew of games that can be played like that: http://steam.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_DRM-free_games.

I think around half of my games come from this list and it's a big reason I even buy from Steam. The GOG user pedrovay2003 is actually the maintainer of that list and there are games that GOG users test out and he updates the list:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/steam_games_you_can_play_without_the_steam_client.

Recently, I tested out Mutant Mudds after getting in the bundle. Having played that and Shadow Bladed on Android, I was interested in getting a hold of them DRM-Free or client free but sadly neither is possible.

There's a lot of old versions I live with, especially when the games run stable for me.

Weird. I dunno, guess I'll stop worrying about it.

Very annoyed by the fact that I can't buy Alpha Protocol and Arma Golg on GOG anymore.
