But it should be "creepy" instead of "sinister", since sinister is more like the german word "finster".

A really funny one right now is Rogue One. It's been translated as Łotr Jeden, which technically is exactly correct. However, in polish that also happens to mean basically something like "that little rapscallion!"

creepy: Causing an unpleasant feeling of fear or unease. sinister: Giving the impression that something harmful or evil is happening or will happen.

And finster would also be more sinister rather as creepy.
Nice example: creepy guy, he might be sinister, but he must not be, but a sinister guy is always creepy. ;)
