Together with our Warsaw neighbor, 11 bit studios, we decided to team up with one of a kind, AMD – bringing you a chance of winning a unique, custom gaming PC, worth over $6000!

The Thaumaturge, released just yesterday, is an isometric, story-rich RPG with a unique approach to tactical combat, character development features, and investigation mechanics. Set at the mere beginning of 20th century, in Warsaw under the yoke of imperial Russian tsardom, you’ll face morally ambiguous choices; all while discovering a whole darker side of the universe, mysterious powers and strange ethereal beings called Salutors.

Your main task in this contest will be to Design an original Salutor that could roam the world of The Thaumaturge. You can use local folklore and mythology of your own region as inspiration. The media format is yours to choose: image, video, 3D model – get creative!

Once the creative job is done, share your creation on social media, and submit HERE! Make sure to tag your submission using #AMDxThaumaturge.

Now, for the prize… Take a look at this beast’s specs:

The contest ends on March 19th, 2024 at 4 PM UTC, with winners announced within two weeks of the closing date. This contest is only for residents of the United States, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom and European Union countries.

Now, haunted by the spirit of Bukavac, this machine will surely grant you the gift of thaumaturgy. Are you ready to tame the power of an ethereal beast? Join us HERE!
Nice

But I'm already owning an high-end AMD-Gaming-PC at the powerfulliest gaming level possible on an AM4 plattform with Radeon graphics :)
And as a citizen of switzerland, I still don't live in the european uion :(

So, good luck for other ones, who need a new high-end gaming pc.
I'm good with my MSI X570 MPG Gaming Edge WiFi, RX 6800 (non-XT) and Ryzen 7 3800X thanks.
Ehrr... I actually made two submissions for the contest... the first submission was just a description of my creature, instead of a link to one of the supported social networks... then I made the right submission...

I am ashamed of myself for not reading the directions properly (blushes, weeps like a child).

Am I still in the competition, or will I be kicked out because of the double submission?

Relax, there's a chance that nobody will be given the prize in the end.

:) And even if there's someone who gets the prize, the chance that it would be me are infinitesimal.

Nah, you're not a troublemaker, surely you would have a small but non-zero chance.

Me on the other hand :)

You have to accept that they cannot ship to remote and isolated islands. :-P

But they ship to the UK...?
Most contests are locked to certain legion, the ones on GOG is no exception.

Even while my mother tongue is German, I am excluded from most contest in german regions, as they are limited to Germany/Austria/Switzerland.
And while we are actually unter Austrian protection, I am not allowed to participate in such contests.

Gambling laws (or anything that has to do with winning) are different in every country. Usually the organizers don't clear legal issues with all possible countries where people might or might not want to participate.

This is what makes the EU seem like a poor imitation of the U.S.: united in name, yet each member state fending for itself.

Want to sign up to watch French pay-TV channels? Tough luck! Interested in participating in politics in a different country? Not possible. How about enjoying free content on the Internet? Nope, not available in your country. Want to buy all wares on Big A? Sorry, this item can't be shipped to your country.

It seems that the only thing that knows no borders is money; in principle, at least. In practice, everything is done to make it nearly impossible to pay for something, no? ;-)

... yet
They get more responsibilities once in a while.
But not even inside the US all laws are the same, especiall when it comes to gambling.

"not available in your country" for media is a big PITA however, I agree.
Copyrights are only valid and sold per country. The German GEMA for example has no significance in Austria or Italy. Austria had to introduce decoder boxes for ORF, because other countries cuold receive it via satellite and especially companies holding rights to sport events wanted to sell these in every country.

And Netflix told us (South Tyroleans), that we are not enough customers, so it pays off for them to pay for german versions to be broadcasted in Italy.

It`s a long way to go, the states have to give competences and licence management to the EU befor they can decide anything.

At least we don`t pay Roaming anymore :) I remember spending 50C/min for calling my girlfriend in Germany.

Each US state has its own, specific "gambling" (raffle-regulating) laws.

One difference though might be that it only regulates the raffle/contest organizer, and any resident from another state can participate under those rules (not sure, obviously IANAL).

They love their social media channels.
I was almost thinking of participating, but social media is the red flag for me.

Same here.
I'm here on GOG - if GOG is holding a contest, I expect to be able to participate here on GOG, not over some third party channels (of which I don't use three quarters, at all).

Back, when The EnigmaticT was still around, he would sometimes hold contests, for which you could send in your solutions via email...but I guess, nowadays, setting up an extra "contest email" is too much to ask from GOG.
