Oh god... one of their stupid pledges is this gem:
"Casting actors whose identity (gender, gender identity, nationality, race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability) aligns with the character they will be playing."
...in summary, Amazon does not understand acting as a concept. It's about people pretending to be someone other than themselves FFS.
I wonder if Amazon cast elf-kin as elves? Dwarf-kin as dwarves? Are there dragon-kin needed? Wait... after Peter Dinklage took issue at Disney with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, can Tolkien's dwarves still be called dwarves? I'm all for respect, but... I'm so, so confused!

We can all agree that casting a 30-ish year old woman in the role of a 500 y/o elf is ageist AF.
