N1c3_0n3: Thank you very much :3
It's good to know that this "we can do anything we want" clause existed even back then. Doesn't change my point in any way but still good to know.
You're welcome, and in fairness to GOG on this one, this type of clause is included in many terms of service agreements, allowing the company to punish a user who commits an extreme violation that was overlooked in the initial draft, and the agreement for future uses ammended to suit. Though I can't say that I enjoy the opressing fear that I have to live in, knowing that if I'm the nail to stick out, I may be hammered down. Please GOG, be moderate and merciful, I'm a good boy, I promise.

What point? You haven't cited a person here who lost their games because of GOG's supposed 'authoritarian' forum rules despite having a termination clause back in 2008 that let them ban anyone from their libraries for any reason. The last incident I remember for forum misconduct was someone personally attacking another's gender unpromptedly and the perpetrator only lost access to posting on the forums and not their entire library.

The idea that I'm grouped as a "tyranny supporter" for not wanting things like racism here is ridiculous. You know Aristotle's golden rule of "treat others the way you want to be treated"? It's basic common decency to your fellow man. Because unlike an RPG, everyone knows you can't control what race you're born as IRL. So what justification is there to allow those topics of discussions if I'm trying to justify this "obviously evil" sentiment?

I don't even think people deserve to lose their games even if their forum conduct is completely unacceptable, minus blatant piracy. People like the anti-Russian Ukrainians and an unnamed user who asserted that "chink" wasn't racist have all still kept their games. The only conclusion I'm arriving at is over-exaggeration, out of touch, and lacking nuance between a games forum and real life.

If you truly believe that, then you shouldn't mock the people who want the same thing and perhaps aim your criticism at authorities who clearly disagree with that notion
If your new account is attached to a different e-mail, a different credit card or payment by international money order option I don't see why not. You wouldn't be able to transfer games between the two so it would be a clean slate with empty shelves.

King_Rumbles_32: am i allowed to make a new gog account as i dont wanna get banned or anything if i did make a new gog account if someone could let me know the answer i thank you..
I hope so. This is my second account but my only account with games collected. I sent them a support ticket to delete my other account with nothing on it (no response yet). I made the other account a few months ago to test out the service but I never used it.

I hope this doesn't give me any problems. I have 3 games collected so far.

timppu: However, if you end up creating another account, make sure you don't accidentally go arguing with yourself in the forum.

It will make you look totally foolish. I should know.
Yeah, arguing with yourself is not a good idea ... even if you don't look or feel silly.

Aside from that, it can sometimes be the only way to have a decent conversation. LOL

I of course, don't always believe everything I say to myself ... brains have been known to lie to their owners.

I've argued with myself before, but on only one account and in a single post. I've since learned to keep my internal discussions to myself.
