Indeed, I don't know if there's any version without SecuRom. =/

snowkatt: since when does EA care what their customers want at all ?

tinyE: They are about to start charging for gas, what do you think!? :P
I just looked that up to find out what you meant and holy fuck, that's a thing they're doing. No wonder Bank of America can't knock EA off the top spot of the list of most hated US companies.

Yeah, and it'll probably be me. :D To post the picture that is. Not buy that EA shit.
Its quite weird that steam still has the store page for the game even though its not available for purchase (usually steam nukes the store page once the game is removed from sale)
If you haven't already check this out if you want to play Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142 online again.

They also have Battlefield 2142.
Best thing is both games are fully functional and patched.
Free servers? Or 'free' games too? Must be illegal if the latter.

Now that is a freaking sweet. Just wish there would be something like this for Battlefield 1942 + Expansions and Vietnam as well.

I don't really know what's up but searching a little on the internet I found this links, maybe not the same as the Revive-project for Battlefield 2 ans 2142. But it is seemingly close to it.

Well as always when dealing with game that has been abandoned it's probably illegal. But morally I'd say it's right. But is a debate that's been going around ever since people realised their favourite games were not going to be kept alive by whatever force had deemed the game to die.

As for me I consider all games to be interactive art, not always good art, but art nonetheless. And I don't like it when things are left to wither and die. I don't see games as a fast food market, as a large part of the worlds publishers do.
