last I saw you could still buy it on Origin. Might of changed though.

Well, that's up to EA and i doubt that they will release it here... But what happened? The game is removed from Steam and Origin...

I am guessing they truly killed the online servers. A shame really, it was a fun game.

I actually feel dumb, i forgot that we were talking about EA so yeah, you must be right. Stll it's weird considering that it is the most "popular" BF among the franchise and i don't remember hearing any backlash about EA closing their servers or the game removed from the digital stores.

There was a fair bit of backlash but I don't think they cared all that much.

since when does EA care what their customers want at all ?

Aaahhh, Battlefield 2, one of the few multiplayer games that I liked.
While most weapons sucked ass, I played it like it was Carmageddon and running over opponents with dunebuggies never got old.

Well I seriously doubt they are going to go through with it. On that note they are thinking of doing it with new NFS titles which would leave my wallet safe, if however they implemented it for older titles like "High Stakes" I'd be screwed.
