If nothing is working it's likely something has gone wrong halfway through and the script has crashed before the rest of the features could load...

Funny thing - everything's fine today.

It's GOG, could be anything...
Something necessary failed to load, angular crashed, a variable in the script wasn't what it was expected to be...

Of course if it was persistent (even for just a short while) that makes a one off bug unlikely I suppose.

The script doesn't seem to be loading for me at all... I was on umm.... 1.8.4 I think & grease monkey said it was active
but I wasn't getting the normal search bar & such. So I upgraded just now & it still doesn't seem to be making any changes... least none that I can see.

I can't tell if it's because I'm on Waterfox now after Mozilla broke tons of shit by letting that certificate expire, because I'm now basically on dial-up (60 KB/sec max speed) or what.

Any ideas?

Waterfox is not the problem since I am using this fork myself and the actual AF is running just fine. Is it listed under "about" as well?

Sorry... which about are we talking about exactly? I checked about:about & that says nothing about any script that I can see.

When the scrips are active you should be able to see them listed under "about" in the top menu (see attachment).

As far as I'm aware it works on Waterfox, do you get any errors in the console?

It could be the speed I suppose if stuff is failing to load and that's crashing the script, but I wouldn't have thought it would be a huge issue.

Nothing there though scripts are confirmed working on other sites.

Hmmm, they look like errors that occurred while reading this thread rather than errors in the script itself.
Not sure what "Declaration dropped" means but it seems to be a CSS error rather than anything too serious so I doubt that's the problem.


What version of Firefox is Waterfox based on?
Is it based on the newer version? Or a pre chrome extensions fork?
If it is based on newer Firefox you could try switching to Tampermonkey instead of Greasemonkey because I know there were issues with that.


You can also try putting;
afExportLog()
into the console and hitting enter and then pasting the results here (or if they are quite long into Pastebin or something) and I can see if there are any parts of the script loading.

I'm not sure which Firefox this one is built on... the one before Mozzila broke all the add-ons. :-p
Which seems to be exactly what happened... installed TamperMonkey & it started working exactly as it's supposed to.
So I'm blaming this mess on Mozilla like most problems I've had with my browser for the last couple years/

Yeah, I don't know what happened with Greasemonkey but it's never worked right for the script since the big Firefox update.

Still using Greasemonkey (3.17), also using Waterfox (56.2.9) - script is working fine. Maybe the OS has something to do with it as well? (I am still on Win7).
