I fell through a pit (O1) on level-3 to level 4 and I can't get back to level 3. The stairs to level-3 are behind a door that I can't open. This door has a pressure plate but when I step on it, it doesn't do anything. I need help!

Which game are you referring to? Sounds like maybe Eye of the Beholder?

Yes, it's Eye of the beholder. Also since I posted I can no longer rest and heal wounds. I have tried in many areas in levels 1 & 2. Don't know whats going on.
