Just got directly confirmed from the devs on twitter, that linux version on GOG in unfortunately not happening at all.
(well, unlucky, I was really looking to try this out, but there are probably some technical or manpower reasons, who knows... better luck with future games IronOak)

You don't understood me. Reread (INTERNET):

Linux version isn't possible because the game uses Galaxy (Internet).
There is no GOG private net (Galaxy) for Linux, because is DRM (GOG is disingenuous about DRM-free).
