What Do You Want From Fallout 4?
I'd like to see something different from the previous games. I'd like a new setting (Perhaps a return to the U.S. South like FOT or maybe a game that is set completely outside the U.S. I'd like to see the extent of the destruction that happened in China, or maybe Europe. I want FO4 to maintain the customizable weapons and armor from Fallout NV for sure. Also keep the true iron sights in the game! This is critical for those one shot kills!
I just want New Vegas without DRM on GoG.com.
Wastelands 2 will get to GoG anyway.

1. Isometric
2. Less shooting, more role playing
3. Less glitches
Some of the things I would want from Fallout 4:

- Ron Perlman back as narrator;
- preferably isometric view, but at least third-person ALWAYS -- no "optional-but-ultimately-always-on" first-person;
- less bugs, crashes and brokenness;
- a true-to-the-originals CRPG feel, I want Fallout to be an RPG, not a shooter disguised as "tactical" just because they add V.A.T.S. or whatever variant they come up with;
- not having Bethesda Softworks develop and publish it, but some customer-friendly studio instead, because I always vote with my wallet and I don't buy Bethesda games;

This!! Fallout 3 and Fallout NV are more shooters that RPG's.
For it not to be called Fallout 4. Bethesda never understood the Fallout universe.
Fallout 4? Hm, how about Van Buren being completed and being released and only on GoG.com? Ah yes, dreams. The good thing about them, you always get what you want. :)
For it not to be developed by Bethesda, honestly. Their engine is bad, they write bad/boring dialogue/plot, their worlds feel artificial. The gunplay in F3 was pretty awful too.

It may seem like I'm too hard on their efforts, but that's only because I bought into the hype when F3 came out. Never again.

I'm fine with them publishing it though.

YES, PLEASE!!!

Fallout: New Vegas has an interesting 'over the shoulder point of view' perspective of the series but after re-playing the original Fallout (and its sequel) a few months ago, it would be a great idea to come full circle and return to the isometric POV where the player can see more of the scenery in a Fallout 4.
I just want Brian Fargo at it again.
Like it or not, the Bethesda model isn't going to change much. I like the original Fallouts, but I also like Elder Scrolls, so having a post-apocalyptic one is cool with me.

What I would like is an even more hardcore mode. I want you to need to sleep every day, to need to drink lots of water, to need to eat every day, or suffer serious consequences. That seems doable.

I'd also like to have more opportunities to be "evil" than New Vegas (they didn't even have any evil companions!)

Something I want (but probably won't happen) is destructible surroundings/buildings. Can't pick the lock? Blow open the door with dynamite or knock down the wall with a super-sledgehammer.

Also, get rid of or seriously reduce fast travel. Maybe introduce vehicles to offset the traveling time or only make fast travel possible only between certain places (like the silt striders or mage guilds in Morrowind). Also, add more random encounters. Maybe bandits stop you on your way to a certain area or something like that.

More puzzles and problem solving.

Get rid of the goddamn compass for quests and give hints so we have to figure out where to go, don't just tell us "Go this way."

Most of these seem reasonable and doable, but I doubt they'll be implemented.
