Dumb Back Story: Fallout Tactics was my first experience into the Fallout universe. I played it while I was in middle school shortly after it came out, on a pc. I enjoyed the story and the game and have fond memories of it. Around the same time that Red Alert 2 came out, I found out that I could modify unit abilities by changing their values in the program files with a simple text editor. I could never figure out how to do this in Fallout Tactics. Fast Forward all these years and I no longer have a PC, but a Macbook Pro (mid 2012 15"). I downloaded Fallout Tactics but I don't have as much time to invest in it and right now I just want to have fun by messing around. My question is as follows:

1. Can I edit an existing character save without downloading a mod program?

For example I want to take my character that I just finished the first level with and give him some sweet stats, maybe some power armor and a few good guns so I can just run around the lower levels like a super powered BoS!!

2. If it can't be done in a simple text editor then what do I need to do?

Thanks for reading!

I don't know if the link below will help you (because of mac) but check it out:

If you don't find useful the above instructions, I'm afraid you'll have to use an editor like Bosche. (link below)
