i just bought one copy of gog Fallout 3 additional to my Steam Fallout 3! Both copies did not start.

I just googelt 4 houers yesterday ! Tried a lot of solutoins, but nothing worked!


When i start the Game, the screen turns black and a small window appears. After 2 Seconds the whole screen is back on the desktop!

Do you get any kind of message in this small window? Is this the standard information that this application stopped working?

Does that computer come with a graphics card? If integrated, you will need a mod to make the game think there is a card installed.

Yes! With one Intel HD Graphics 530 chip and one Geforce GTX 970M! Sometimes i´m using a third card and the 970m is in SLI mode. But actully its on Single mode. No, just a black box without any informations





I really think, its a Problem with the graphiccard! maybe a driver oder a special option!

Try running the game in windowed mode. Also do a backup of the files found in "Documents\My Games\Fallout 3" and delete them. Check if it helps.

no, windows ode and deleting the files in the documents folder did not work! It even needs even less seconds dto close the black window

Don't get desperate. ;) Try to contact GOG Support maybe they'll figure out something: https://support.gog.com/.

I think you should try updating the gpu drivers and make sure they are up to date or else you can reinstall the game. Try starting your PC in safe mode.

OP search up intel bypass fallout 3 and put in the extra file, dont remove any you should be good op

Since its windows 10, why not run the game in compatibility mode of windows 7 ?

Okay do you have any mods installed? Did you change any file before starting?
