Can you take a look at the patch 1.3b for Hearts of Iron 2 too ? It seems to be a similar situation.
Although, this will be an UNSUPPORTED bonus item so "No refunds!" in the words of Marcus from Borderlands :D

Adwoa: Paradox released some Beta patches that cannot simply be downloaded without a special logon code (which I lost when I first bought the game, thinking it was simply to play multiplayer which I never do). Those patches which make the game more playable were not released publicly . So any idea to what version the GOG version (of Rome:Vae Victis) is patched to?
The 2.36 BETA patch is now available as a bonus download. Please keep in mind that you are running this patch at your own risk :)

One of the many great things about GOG is that when customers complain about something being missing GOG staff actually jump in to try and include it as fast as possible. It's just fantastic customer service and the quality in a curated store like GOG really is something amazing, thanks people!
