I have searched and tried so many things, but EE1 and EE-AOC won't work at all on my pc. I got windows 10, I7-4770, and my graphics is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650. When I start up EE1 it seems like it is working but it gets stuck so i have to alt tab out and then it gives me a message about runtime error. However, EE-AOC crashes immediately and then windows ask to close it. I tried all the compatibility settings, I added both EE's to my firewall and antivirus (i got norton). i tried uninstalling and reinstalling it many times in different places. I tried the gog galaxy. I tried 3DAnalyze and made a new batch file forcing max pixie shader version 1.1. I have ran it in admin many times and tried every combo of thing i could find, and nothing works. My brother and my friend got it to work on there computers and they have win 10 as well so I don't know what to do. I really need help because i love this game but cannot play it at all and i have been wasting my time trying to get it to work. PLEASE HELP!

Mine doesn't crash on startup, but it does crash as soon as you actually begin a game. Windows 10 as well.

Same problem here, i have a graphical problem (My game menu mouse cursor became blue)

my problem isn't that it crashes to desktop, but it minimizes to desktop on the title screen. if i click properly, i get a Windows Firewall dialogue box pop up and say that bits of the game are being blocked, and if i tell it to allow access, the game won't launch at all, and WIndows 10 takes about 15x longer on the next startup.

Have exactly the same. Did you ever get it to work?

I thought the entire point of buying games from GOG was that they worked on new OS. This sucks.

I have not but while fixing something else I found out my pc added both empire earth and gold empire earth on the exception list for Data Execution Prevention (DEP). I took them both off of DEP but it didn't change anything just wanted to point that out.

I'm not having any trouble running it. One thing which you do need to make sure you do if you are running on windows 10 (in my case 64bit version), go to the launch shortcuts for both the base game and expansion and change the compatibility settings to be 'windows 7' instead of 'windows xp'.

I have tried that and it still gives me the same error so i have no idea what could be causing the problem.

I have the exact same problem on my laptop. (It seems to work on my Win7 desktop).
I can't offer a solution yet, since I'm having the same issue, but perhaps a clue? After you get the error, search on your windows for "event viewer" and open it up. Select the "windows log" arrow to open up the tree, then select "Application". You will likely find more details about your error there.

Same issue here as well... :( So bad, I really love this game. One of the two favorite games of my childhood, and which've been having fun with since I was 14 (now I'm 28 :) ). Oh, damn, I've been playing this game for half of my life. :D

That solution with virtual machine sound like a good option, I may look into that some time later.

So bad that they don't want to come back to Empire Earth, or at least revamp it with better graphics and more details (such as different civilizations having different building models, and having different unit skins, while still having all the same units). It is the best game of entire series. Scr*w 3D and that cr*p, Empire Earth is the best!

Hi everyone.
I've had troubles running Empire Earth: Art of Conquest installed with Galaxy on 3 different PCs (game simply crashed on startup). Then I tried installing it with offine installer (GOG Downloader version) and suddenly it worked fine on every PC i tried it.
So GOG needs to check their Galaxy version and fix it up.

This is the only solution that has worked for me so far.
