ZaxCG2: Yep, Xpadder is a life saver when it comes to GoG games.
If you want, you could try out my profile I made for it.
Should work with EWJ 1 for sure - haven't played it with 2 yet though.

I made it so that the right analogue stick will shoot in any direction it is tilted... making it easier to spray multiple oncoming enemies.

Haha, glad someone found it useful. Yep, it's awesome to have some rumble in a game that never had it. :D
edit: nevermind~

Navagon: Try using Xpadder. It works perfectly for me. http://www.xpadder.com/
That worked wonderfully! Thanks so much for the suggestion! And for $10, it's worth it.

Given that it will work with any game that doesn't already offer good controller support, it's definitely worth it. Especially for.... well, anyone who buys games on GOG for starters.
Haven't tried the full games yet, but I got the demos of EWJ 1&2 working with a 360 controller.

The only problem is that there is very little room for error in the diagonal analog directions - hard to point in those.

Also DOSBox does not like the Xbox 360 controller dpad, never has. You'd have to use Xpadder to map it, or switch to use the "fcs" controller type in the config (which may not work well with non-flying/driving games, but I haven't tried it.)
Hello, if your problem is with the Calibration Screen guys I suggest you try to do this:

I've found an easy temporal solution for this problem.

Here's what I do, I start the game, THEN I connect the Gamepad. I Restart the game, and it appears the gamepad works fine after that, in the calibration screen too.
Its not just a problem with this game.
It pretty much big trouble in most of non Xinput, old DInput games with xbox 360 controller.

But i fixed this issue many years ago, when i had chilstream gamepad and wasnt able to use diagonal directions in Resident Evil 4.

Here you can read what causing troubles (to put it simple shape of minitick sorrounding is circle, but it inside square shaped field, so you cant reach corners of this square, that why you need to convert your gamepad from circle inside square, to square inside circle, to make diagonal corners reachable) how to do it and download required tools

if these tools will not work for you, try updated versions from http://www.wingmanteam.com

After this simple manipulation your 360 controller will be able to reach diagonal corners in every old game!
