starfleet: Tueday almost wednesday in most of the world and still no mod tools.... Come on either GoG or Larian need to do something here, because this is annoying, your basically punishing those of us who brought on GOG because Steam HAS the tools.
acorrding to Larian it's in gog's hands:

Yeah its really a bummer that we have to wait for those mod tools even though they confirmed their release on Monday.

Frankly that sort of buck passing is an insult.

If this was DLC, that was being sold, do you think Larien would just sit back, and shrug their shoulders like that.
Their game, their responsibility to get it up ASAP.

Once tools are on Galaxy, it becomes GOG's responsibility to provide the manual installers, and they take a few hours to do that.
Since Galaxy arrived devs can push updates, direct to the platform, same as Steam.
The mod tools, should have been available direct from Larian, for all customers, and not dependent on any store client.
Hell they can upload them to Nexus Mods if they choose to do that.

Plus I should be able to download them from Steam, without owning the game there.
Plenty of other tools available, for games I don't own.

Same goes for Workshop Mods, GOG owners, or anybody should be able to download the mods.
Restricting mods to Steam owners stinks.

I 100% agree.

Paczyk: Hey guys,

Sorry for the delay here. We will have those tools on Monday.
we are still waiting
will I be forced to return the game for GOG and buy for Steam? Your relationship with GOG will be at least burned if you force whoever bought GOG to return the game and migrate to Steam!
And enough of nonsense "is in the hands of GOG", you could make the download of the tool direct on your site, since you need the game to work.

Sorry bad english.

This is a very valid statement, I concur!
Hey guys, I'm sorry for not making the tools available yesterday but the editor is now live. You can download it from the extras section.

Thanks, but I'm afraid that the Editor still isn't working. As far as I know it requires additional data which doesn't appear to be available. The Editor crashes when trying to create a new project.

You simply need to browse to your game "Data" directory.

I don't understand what you mean. I tried setting "GameDataPath" to both the install directory of the game and the "Data" subfolder. Are you able to use the Editor?

Yes I am, I simply set "Game Data Path" to the "Data" subdir in your Divinity 2 directory.

Weird. It doesn't work for me. As soon as I try to load anything the Editor crashes.

Yes it's weird, but it's definitely a problem from the editor and not from GOG so maybe you should contact Larian's support.
I have a feeling the crashes are because when you open the engine during the loading before you even get to choose stuff about projects it shows version and the version there is an older one that doesn't match current game version.

3.0.141.916 is editor version.
3.0.142.271 is game version.
