I assumed they were the SNES and/or Genesis games, which would have been instant buys for me. I don't know...maybe they're still okay, but...

you can compare the Amiga version sold by GOG and the original Genesis version in this video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVgmzseEdl4
while the MS-DOS port of Aladdin is based on the Amiga port of Aladdin.

there is actually another version of Aladdin on PC which is based on the original Sega Mega Drive/Genesis version and was made to work natively on windows 95 (pretty much in the same way like Earthworm Jim Special Edition for Windows 95)

and while i don't know if it ever had it's own release i do know that it was released on the Disney Classic Video Games Collection for Windows 95 (i once did own Disney Classic Video Games but i lost the game and i don't know where to find it)

thing is i don't know if it is possible to get that version to work on windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 64-bit. however for some reason the Disney Classic Video Games Windows 95 version of Jungle Book (yet again i don't know if it had it's own release) is actually included in the GOG release of Jungle Book.

however it doesn't work on windows 10 since it says it needs a Wing32.dll file when i try to launch the Windows 95 version of Jungle Book which apparently can normally only be found in the Windows 95, 98, XP and Vista, Windows Folder.

here is a youtube video i found of the Windows 95 version of Aladdin: https://youtu.be/EBRLWINCqlA

EDIT: i forgot to mention the Windows 95 version of Aladdin uses Midi Files for music so you can probably get it to sound alot better than it is in the youtube video that i found through something like Bassmidi or VirtualMidiSynth and a good Soundfont

EDIT 2: yet again i forgot to mention that (and this is only with Aladdin on the Disney Classic Video Games Collection) which is that the game speed is for some reason unlocked in that Windows 95 version of Aladdin but maybe it can be fixed by locking the frame rate to 60FPS or something (i don't know how to actually fix it)

Interesting, but now I m just much more disappointed by GOG choice to not releasing to Genesis true PC adaptation. The Amiga version just don't worst to invest money in my opinion :/

well trying to get really old windows 95 games like Aladdin or Earthworm Jim Special Edition to work on modern pc's has always been really difficult to do

in fact alot of the time it is just impossible to get it to run on modern pc's unless you get a virtual machine with windows 95 or 98 installed on it on your pc however that would require actually owning a copy of windows 95 or 98

there is also the fact that microsoft just removed any and all support for 16-bit applications in every 64-bit version of windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 and there are still no emulators around that are designed to run these old windows 95 games on modern pc's

so the easiest solution to get old games to work on modern pc's is to just use the MS-DOS version (if there is one) and use dosbox to run it which is most likely why it is the MS-DOS version that is on GOG and not the windows 95 version
Well I understand that trying to make a window 95 game work on actual OS could be very difficult, I have myself tried to launch a win95 game recently (tone rebellion) without succes, and using dosbox was much more complicated that I was thinking( or the game just don't work ).

lol emulating directly the genesis version of Aladdin seem much more efficient than this method.

Sega have adapted several of their games and they work without any problem on steam and other consoles.

if disney were to do that then they would need make a deal with sega to release the game and play it through a sega genesis emulator and i doubt disney wants to make a deal with sega over just 1 old game
so i just made a wishlist thingy for the windows 95 version of aladdin so maybe this will help to get the pc version that is based on the genesis original on GOG https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/aladdin_windows_95_version
