be quite small

keep aspect ration and proper resolution in settings = not so big black bars and correct proportions

jstrutton1: Thanks again for all the info. Tried that as well and same results, just goes back to the GOG galaxy screen. I'm assuming you are just saving the patch into the same file location as the .exe file without having to unzip or anything else.

I was able to load the game using some previous mentioned configurations but the window that it opened was really small and the graphics were horriable.

Hemaka: Well the patch I mentioned is in .7z format so yeah, you have to unpack it. Basically there are 3 .dll files inside - just copy&paste all 3 of them into the folder with disciples2.exe. Check in the configurator (my screenshot from above) if the settings are correct and give it a try.
Btw on modern computers this game's window will always be quite small unless you use 'stretch to full screen option' which I wholeheatedly recommend. With widescreen support patch it's still quite pretty.
THANKS!!! Works like a charm now!!

Great! Now just sit back and enjoy this old gem :)
I've tried following all of the above instructions but when i click the launch button on GoG it doesn't even start the game, it just greys the button out for a bit then resets to being able to click the button

Have you really tried patch listed below?

Have you extracted it into game folder? Direct3D option is unchecked in ConfigEditor.exe?

Is there any Discipl2.exe.crash.txt file? Is yes, send it to author via his blog or email
