Bought this on steam way back when because there was no mention of it coming to GOG. Communication from GOG needs to be better. If there is even a slight chance Sony games could come then mention it and I will wait to buy
Unfortunately you will never know if some games will come to GOG. I have waited for this game since release on PC to come to GOG. Great that it arrived, but there are many games that still are unknown to arrive.

Lets take a Far Cry 3 as example. They put down servers down last year so it can show on GOG, because there is no DRM no more. Still no sign and now what should you do as a player who want to play a game? Wait till publisher agrees on release on GOG or just buy it somewhere else.

According to PCGW you still need Uplay, or what do you mean?
AWESOME, thank you for the GoG release.

Legally GOG might not be able to mention it beforehand. Maybe AAA publishers don't want explicitly drm-free advertised until the last second or they hope people will double dip, as plenty of non-AAA games get "coming soon" threads.

Unless there are other Sony games on Steam you're desperate to play, I'd say hold out if you can, even years if possible. But I also understand that isn't realistic for most people.
Agreed here with the OP. I bought this game a year ago on steam. It cost me less than what GoG is asking for here at the time and that was a year after it was released on steam. If at sometime during that full year after the release on steam they mention it was coming here I would have waited for it. So GoG definitely lost a sale from me. Unfortunately I didn't particularly like this game that much so I won't be buying it again here.

Don't get me wrong I am glad to see it here, but I think that GoG lost a lot of sales due to releases like this one. Just by saying that IT IS DEFINITELY coming here, but not even necessarily when, might be enough for people to hold off and buy it here.

It's not like GOG is sitting on all your favourite games, waiting for just the right time to release them. You'll hear nothing until it's 100% confirmed, for reasons that should be equally as obvious.
high rated
We would get far more games released here sooner if everyone who wants to only buy officially DRM-free games would actually do that rather than rush to find excuses to buy Steam versions whenever this or that game is supposedly so good that they can't wait for a GOG release.

In fact it would be impossible for me to justify buying games from Steam by claiming that they are too good to wait for them to become officially DRM-free or abandonware, because I have a total opposite view on that, as in only games that are so bad that I wouldn't care to be able future-proof them would even in theory have a chance at being redeemed for free from Steam by me, assuming that I somehow would be willing to create a Steam account and for some odd reason would want to waste my time playing such crappy games.

A GOG staff member teasing more Sony games coming soon (perhaps at the start of the Christmas sale?), looks like blurred out "God of War" art in the background.

If it's the originals from Playstations 1-3 days I'm down for it.

Naw it'd be what's on Steam, GoW 2018. So admittedly if people here already bought it on Steam there's not much reason to re-buy it on GOG, other than to support DRM-free.

I somehow managed to resist buying it for so long(was waiting for the 50% at least discount since I have seen most of it) and I am so happy. GoW and Uncharted that I think is the other game that is coming to GOG based on that tweet are my favourite PS games!

Good thing I have all the originals before 2018 on Playstation 3 then.

"God of War (2018) and UNCHARTED™: Legacy of Thieves Collection will soon arrive on GOG!"

:) I'm guessing they'll release at the start of the Winter Sale; hopefully it's actually soon.

GOG will always be my first choice to purchase a game but if there is no sign it will ever come out on GOG I will buy it on Steam. Its not really an excuse. Ive made my peace with steam many years ago. Its a product i wanted and my prefered vendor didnt have it for years. I support GOG and DRM free games when they have what I want.
