wayke: Unless you bought the game after the "Marcin Iwiński Apology" you and all us were lied to he admitted it,
avatar
frogthroat: That apology was pretty much just about the old gen consoles. If jon7882 is here, I would guess he bought the game on PC.

Not saying one way or another about them lying in general, and I do get your and TencentInvestor's point, but this particular apology is not really admitting to any issues on PCs. Just consoles. Last gen consoles.
The consoles they were developing the game for several years. The consoles they said the game was working surprisingly well on. The same game they said would be shipped when ready, instead of broken but in time to make christmas money.

Any version CDPR has put out is broken and unfinished. There are degrees of how broken things are, sure. If you spend thousands on hardware that can brute force this mess to work and feel proud of yourself, by all means.
As someone who has to work for money, I find none of CDPR's actions acceptable in any way.
But fanboys will be fanboys and stay blind to common sense. CDPR hates videogames and people who enjoy them.
This is all about money. Your money for their trash.

jon7882: Imo the game is great it just has a few issues.
Few issues? Ok :D massive issues outside the great story, i would claim.
Because of the missing features and systems, CP77 as it is now is crippled.
Needs definitly a rework patch even more than Witcher 1 did need.

But we ll see, i just hope CDPR does do it, because it would be the first
step of the extreme long road to restore their reputation. But it is only a slight
hope.

PS:
Oh and i am on PC 255 hours in, so year the game definitly has massive
issues.

I'd had enough by 100 and wanted out, I chose all the worst options for the Ending I wanted my Character dead.
To be honest I find the negativity a bit over the top. While it's clear that they never should have tried to release on previous-Gen consoles, I have been playing on PC since day 1, encountered very few issues, and had an absolute ball. Yes, I have thrown top end hardware at it, and that does seem to be the determining factor - bugs like T-posing only seem to happen if the game starts running out of resources. They definitely should have spent more time optimising and fixing bugs before release, as only a small proportion of people will be playing on current Gen hardware (it's still near impossible to walk into a store any buy a GTX3000 gpu, even if you can afford it). I am on my 3rd playthrough and over 300 hours in, and while there are lots of things left out from the earlier reveals which I would have loved to see in the game, it doesn't change the fact that I still find it to be an awesome and engaging experience. It's a pity more people have not been able to get as much enjoyment out of it as I have, but I hope they will rectify this with further updates. I would classify this as being similar to the PC release of Arkham Knight - a fundamentally good game with serious issues at release which can be rectified. I would not put it in the same class as Mass Effect Andromeda - a buggy mess which remains irredeemably crappy long after the bugs are fixed. And unlike EA, I don't believe there is any risk of CDPR just abandoning it......

Yeah, I have built a pretty good rig a while back. A lot of custom stuff as well. I am pretty proud of the setup. Thanks for asking.

I guess I just value gaming more than you do. I worked hard for that money, too. But I spend my money on things I appreciate. I like video games, so I spent a lot on my setup. If gaming is not that big of a deal for you, you are free to spend less. And you should spend it on things you enjoy instead of wasting it on computers and gaming.

An entire section of slums the rail network the flying taxis, Stats that don't work mods that don't work and some only work once but if you exit they never work after that save.

You are hilarious. The true GAMER that CDPR values.
I am out of here, friends. Enjoy waking up in the ruins of the brave new world you are building.

Thanks. I'm here all week.

No no, don't drag me into any "true gamer" conversation. If you play vidya, you are a gamer to me. It's not a competition.

But you just told us that you are not willing to put thousands on PC hardware. It's ok. Not everyone has to build a monster of a PC. Of course you can invest exactly as much as gaming matters to you. You just self-admittedly want to spend less on gaming than I do. Since you work hard, you probably have some other passion you pour your hard earned money into. Mine is PC gaming. What's yours?

Bye. You are always welcome back.

If I had to guess, he invests in Tencent. drumroll please so while he hates Cyberpunk and games like it, he invests in a company that finances tons of games with the sole desire of parting you from your money.

Anyway, it's a stretch. He might mean "I literally spent 10 cents on this video game because I'm too cheap to invest in modern games or hardware" and I might be completely wrong. He's been pretty aggressive ever since Cyberpunk came out.

I agree the game deserves flack for the shape it shipped in, but there's a lot of fun to be had in it if you keep your expectations in check. It also runs pretty damn well on mid range hardware (ryzen 5 3600/ amd 5700 xt)
9 working days until the end of March, 1.2 was promised by way of public announcement that due to hacks it would be delayed until the swcond half of March. Today is well into the second half of March.

jon7882: Most of what was promised is in the game
Lol

4 working days left in march... and according to the news release and development update they have the patch ready/nearly done... and its all fixing/tweaking the currently broken mechanics. I'm very happy to see this, would have loved a small bit of new content, maybe enable a new location, unlock a currently locked location/quests (*cough shooting range cough*)... just something else instead of core mechanics tweaks.

But each patch makes the game better, and this will help bring us the game that was shown in that half an hour session and all the trailers leading up to it... so bravo for fixes. Can't wait for the patch notes <3

The game needs way more work than 2 "major patches" until is a decent open world, I think the supposed cut content is all part of that 48 minute video about gameplay, that in fact was a lie, when it comes to features, minus the key moments of the first act there, with few changes.

V as a character is an sad placeholder too, we are nothing, a mercenary that work for all fixers, kills all factions, have no consequences for his actions across the city, no fixer denying jobs, no bounty, nothing, just our cute Silverhand around.

Cyberpunk is an amazing set for a linear FPS with perks, the main quest is quite nice, if you reduce the amount of locations with nothing besides the same gangs and Boom! Boom! keeping the sidequests, we have a ton of content, very good small quests around.

Anyway.
