I have used the Voigt Kampff tests on two different characters and once the test is complete, I go back to the main screen, but the game is stuck, the music and the animations are still playing but my cursor is nowhere to be found, and I can't move on with the game. Basicaly, I can't perform a VK test or my game is stuck.
Solved it, I had to wait a long time, like 5 minutes real time.
Thanks for the "fix" lol. I am experiencing the same issue. Might just play the OG and forget this buggy enhanced version.
For me the game frooze but not like usually, the character just stay there... got one of those with the dancer and with Lucy... with lucy however seems like a real stuck.

Same issue, but I don't consider it solved. Just another bug. Are you using Windows 11 22H2 by any chance?

Try this. Locate the file BladeRunnerRemastered.exe (it's wherever you installed the game). Right click on it and select "Properties" and then click the "Compatibility" tab.
Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and use the pull-down for Windows 7
Under settings, check the following:
"Run this program as an administrator"
Click OK

This got me around the delay after a V-K completes. I have NOT verified that it has no other bad effects on the game.

So far, every time I use the VK, once the test completes, it goes back to the main screen and I have no mouse pointer and I am stuck.
The fix with setting the Compatibility and set to run as Administrator did not work.
If I wait as another poster stated, it eventually comes back but this is a bug in my opinion.
I also noticed in the console (`/~ key) that there a lot of failures, mostly audio files failed to open.
GOG needs to fix this.

You are correct. My fix does not work. I have Acronis True Image 2021, which includes Acronis' "protection features". In my case, I believe it has something to do with this issue. I COMPLETELY turned off both protection and "ransomware" protection, rebooted, and that delay went away (so far). I complained to GOG but they just told me that Nightdive has to fix it. You probably won't get too far with GOG.
The delay came back, so I agree with you that it's probably just a bug. I think Acronis is involved somehow, but it's not consistent. I've found that if it completes with either replicant or human, it ususally hangs. If it just "terminates", or you cancel it with the X, it usually does not hang. Just my observations. I've been testing it with a save that has a V-K in it, just because I'm stubborn.

Ah ha! I have Acronis installed as well as I am about to redbuild my system. I will have to uninstall Acronis to see if that makes this issue go away.

Well, like I said, it's inconsistent. It WOULD be interesting to try it before (if) you reinstall Acronis. My guess is that only the newer Acronis versions with all the protection stuff (which I have turned off) would cause this. But that's a guess. Like everyone else said, you can always wait around for 3-4 minutes and it starts moving again.

BTW, where did you find out about the "console" key? Saw same as you....bunch of failed to open audio files.

I uninsatlled Acronis but there is still a long delay but not as long as before. I also have other programs such as Norton and SpyBot running that might also be contributing to this issue.
Once I rebuild my system, get everything installed again, I'll give it a try again, then let you know here.

I discovered the console key by accident. I'm not sure if all of the key bindings are documented anywhere but the `/~ key is a common key to use for the console.

I didn't uninstall Acronis because I need it for backup. I intend to move to something less intrusive for that purpose but have not done it yet. Having said that, I turned off or blocked everything I could think of in Acronis and still had the hangs. It will also hang after cut scenes, except those hangs are permanent. Look forward to hearing how you make out, but I'm pretty convinced at this point it's just buggy when you combine that with the gun not firing issue.

A new update for the enhanced edition of the game just got released on GOG.
Looking at the changelog they did address the shooting bugs. I think they might have fixed the VK bug too.

I haven't got around to testing this personally as of yet though.

Cool! Will take a look! Thanks for the heads up.

I ran GOG Galaxy and it updated my version to 1.2.1075. Interestingly, the stand alone download has not been updated nor is there a patch to get to this version, at least not yet. Going to give it a try.
