Hello.

I just got Battle Isle Incubation and installed it from the download file.

When i start the game via launcher or by .exe i get an error message containing following error code:

0xc0000022

Already started as administrator, too. Reinstalled and so on.

Didn't find any solution here in the forum by using the search.

Maybe the community can help me.

Nvidia 940MX
Windows 10 (actual updates installed)
Just Windows Defender, no explicit fire wall

Did you check for Dirextx9?

DirectX 9 issue on Windows10 can be ruled out. The other solution doesn't match the issue. Nevertheless i tried this fix just to be sure, but still the error code occurs at gaming start.

How's that?

Sorry. I forgot to mention that i already tried that solution. I tried that and that fixed the error message with "Error 0xc0000022"

I did a new installation of the game. I rebooted the computer afterwards.

But now i get the next error message that says:

"Exception. EInOutError in module launcher.exe at 00012F8D. I/O error 32."

I already tried to start as administrator and changed the sound.dll

That didn't solve the problem so far.

Any further ideas?

The error message seems to indicate that the file is already being used by another process.

So, you would need to find out which other Process is using it.

Or either during directx or directplay the installation might have failed without error message, hence I would recommend to install both of them with antivirus being disabled. (for directx there is an offline installer available as well)

ok .. one of the simplest fix`s isn't downloading settings or files for win 10 .. its actually installing the legacy driver on windows 10 which is turned off by default (stupid Microsoft)

1. go to windows features in control panel. (type fea in run bar and should be first option)
2. look for legacy components and select the item inside that folder.
3. install the file.
4. reboot and launch game (presto … game now works)
