Stargate55555: Here is a teaser for you. My favorite race is perhaps Wood Elf. That being said I am not so found of game default skin color for Wood Elves (and I do not want black lol) so I changed my Wood Elf skin color to white which is my skin color in real life. I do not give a shit about leftist movement.

However Dungeons Dragons is such a variety of races as I have played pen and paper why limit yourself to play only human? Nothing wrong choosing human though if you like it then do it.

I am a white maie myself but as who plays this game example Asian woman and what race they choose in D&D or BG3 I am completely fine with it.

Lol in pen and paper sessions I have never come against race discussion though some jokes have been made about little halflings or gnomes.

GR11: People are simply playing alter egos of themselves. Which means most players of BG3 are probably white. In addition, they also tend to play beautiful people. Which means, they will probably not choose to be a small Halfling or fat, but rather tall and slender or muscular. They will not play green skinned, have scars or devilish horns, but rather freckles.

In the third or fourth playthrough they might also test a Halfling. Or a green skinned Orc.

Keith_I2: When I customize a character (hardly ever though), I don't broadcast my choices. It's personal I guess. Nearly all the time I just go with all the defaults. Even at my extremely advanced age I know it has absolutely nothing to do with actual game play. I'm all for playing a game with NO customization!

alcaray: This is not what the dev said was happening tho. He complained that people were not choosing *anything*. But were instead leaving the defaults unchanged.

alcaray: The whole point of early access at GOG is for Larian to get feedback on all all the parts. If no one tries them then there will be more bugs when they release the game.

midrand: There is an easy test for that - change the default character to a horned devil with the next patch and see what happens :)) Seriously though it is obvious that people will put either somebody similar to them or a character they deem beautiful as protagonist. Like GR11 said earlier.

midrand: True but with all due respect to Larian there is zero obligation on gamers to "try" or "not try" anything as they have paid for the game, not got it free as beta testers. Any feedback is purely out of the goodwill of one's heart with this approach.

TheFonzz: I usually pich the rase that has the best racial bonuses in larian games and rpg games in general. For instance I played DOS2 mostly every time with an elf and mostly sebille or undead with fane cause they just have the best special and racial abbilities. I could care less which race they were. People today are just stupid with all their racial comments about this race or that other race...who the fuck cares what race you are...i dont give a shit about all the races equaly and if someone pushes the matter to my face i give even less shit about him. Stop all this fucking fighting over races everywhere...whites are now supposedly all nazis, blacs have their black lives matter , and i am sure every race has some shit to throw out these days to make it seem how they have been stomped over by everyone and how everyone should feel sorry for them. Fuck everyone who even resorts to that...we are all being stomped on by the few heads on top regardless of race and people fighting each other over shit like this insted of fighting people that are actually fucking us over will result in us allways being fucked over regardless of race...!!
