Your brother?

I'm up for it as well.
Probably, will double check :)
Yeah he's willing
I mostly play AoW1, so if you end up with six other players I am willing to opt out. However it's my hope that I am better than an Indy :p, so if you are looking for a player to round out the game I am up to play and gain more experience with SM!

You're definitely in. Just remember Rule #1: Pick on Southern. And Rule #2: Pick on Southern. :)
With Game of Thrones dead, someone want to start this?
Need one more person
Is MPE required?

Bookwyrm627: Is MPE required?
I think so.

I fought Southern and his damn mod loving self for awhile, but the MPE mod is pretty good to be honest. Makes level 1 swordsman and pikers much stronger. Also does some cool stuff like letting extra production carry over to the next item to be produced.

More importantly, for some reason it lets Gogster and his brother actually fight battles manually. They were unable to control battles against the AI which is a huge negative for early game.

Oh yeah, the Mod also "separates" itself from the main game so you pretty much can't cross contaminate other games you're playing.

Yuck-a. I had enough rule set cross-memory problems as it was. o.o

Is there a list of changes somewhere? I'd like to look over them before deciding whether to install. Also, installation instructions and switching instructions?

Okay yeah, that's really important. Now that you mention it, I think I vaguely recall reading a thread where ya'll were trying to figure out how to solve a problem like that.
http://aow2net.azurewebsites.net/MPE/Changes

There is no switching between basegame and MPE because MPE has its own engine so it's a duplicate installation complete with its own engine, game files, map editor, powerful mod editor, and icons.

You can however switch between MPE submods.

It has an installer.

Of course I'm very much in favour of mods in general, but MPE focuses on expanding and tweaking existing mechanics as well as bugfixes and mild engine upgrades. It does make unit balance changes but only a couple of those are controversial such as giving Glade Runners Free Movement. Zero added units.
So download and install MPE as a "separate game"?

Also, there are some serious modifications here. o.o

I think you'll need to point your installation at the aow2 folder, but it installs itself in parallel instead of replacing things.
