Arnuz: Ah sorry, we both forgot that it was an alliance free game. We can replay from my turn, as it consisted only of moving closer. I'll send today.

Don't you get a notification?
Just break your alliance and pull back or something. Had a pretty big battle last turn, wouldn't want to try the rng again.

Could you just pull back and break the alliance - wouldn't want to chance the rng of my last battle again.

My posts keep getting eaten, please don't replay - just break the alliance and retreat.

Arnuz - Don't replay.

I'll replay my turn so Jyri doesn't have to pray to the RNG gods. :)

In multiplayer, when you attack another human, you don't get the "These are the troops involved" notification. The battle just happens. It's a feature, not a defect. This allows you to put concealed units next to a relatively weak unit and sucker other players into attacking. A very awesome strategy that Southern falls for all the time... Book is too paranoid to fall for it anymore.

Edit: Please break the alliance before attacking my Wizard so that only one team is assaulting me at a time.

Your posts were probably eaten by the forum's New Page Bug. Sometimes the first post on a new page doesn't show up until another post will also be on that page.

I suspect Arnuz is talking about the "X made an alliance with Y" notification.

And yes, any time I see a Mimo aligned Target of Opportunity, I promptly start looking for the ambush, and I tend to get even more worried if I don't see one. :)

The idea was to surprise you, now you can retreat and turtle up, and keep your magic items and preposterous defence hero. Oh well NBD. OK for me but at least don't attack sparse units around there, like the cavalry/boar - those were put there assuming the alliance working.

Yep that's it, I assumed that that happens and we bet on you missing it. But yes that's funny, I noticed how you put small goblins in cities always separate, even camouflaging them thanks to the brown background - figured that it had something to do with suckering people into attacks... So at least knowing that the surprise alliance worked was karmic ;)

As soon as I get the turn.
i guess i should make the effort to read the game rules.
Mab, Day 16 - Part 2

Restart so I don't attack allied troops by mistake.

We take the cities heirlooms and run for the hills. Before getting there, we have another awesome Peruvian style chicken dinner. I don't know what their special recipe is, but we Goblins love that damn Peruvian rotisserie chicken. Yucca, Necron, green sauce, and Tempest be damned.

I surrendered the final round. It was just my wizard tower vs a swarm of spiders and heroes. Fun game, I wouldn't mind joining the next aowsm if you need a slot filled with a novice player. Thanks for all the pointers

Glad it was fun! You're definitely in for the next one. Playing people is definitely different than playing the AI, but solo playing is good for learning the mechanics. :)
What am I doing? I can't get in an alliance! Let's retreat. Again.

Seems everyone is getting restarts? Hopefully it's only this turn.

Should I have the turn, did you send it? If so, please resend.

Mab, Day 17

Interesting times down here in the South. Our walls get swarmed by seducing Vampires. Luckily, all get a polearm in the heart before our own demise at the hands of Nekron. At least we live to fight another day unlike the suicidal Tempest scouts that go in our cook bowls daily.

Undead, Day 18

Wtf how did the goblin wizard get THERE?

That might be the understatement of the month. :)
