Hi,

in short, most maps made by the community are stored in Steam Workshop. The usual procedure to get them is to subscribe to Steam Workshop and the map should be downloaded automaticaly. However, this doesn't really happen.

I've added AoW3 to Steam "Add non-Steam product" by the way, but this didn't help.

Does anyone know how to solve this?

As far as I know, items in the Steam Workshop can only be added to a game if you have purchased the game from Steam. Adding a non-Steam game to the library only creates a shortcut to the game in your Steam library - it doesn't add in the necessary files to make it work with Steam features.

Unless, you do it manually. Not sure if any of it still works though.
Thank you!

Well, that will teach me not to Google it first, heh.

Seems Steam removed the D/l option, so we can't use any workshop item??
Crap!
The Nexus has some Mods that don`t need you to be on Steam. Unfortunatley, Steam has so many users just using that there isn`t many on the Nexus. We have to encourage peoplke to put their Mods on the Nexus as well.

I hate how Steam is taking over modding like the Borg. Not everyone wants to use Steam.

Hey someone was nice enough to pass this along so I thought I'd do the same.

This site is not letting me post a link so google "steam workshop downloader" and click the first search result.

Find a mod you want to download from steam, copy the url and paste it in the link above, download it, and than move the file to your Documents/MyGames/AOW3/UserContent folder.

When the launcher for AOW3 starts, click on the User Content tab and you can select/unselect mods you want to use.
Hi guys, I tried to download a scenario from stream using stream workshop downloader as suggested, however, when I pasted the .taf file in User Content, I was unable to access the map. Is there a workaround for it. Any suggestions...??

Hi smoke, thanks for this message. However, I am not able to access the maps downloaded from steam workshop downloader and pasted in user content folder. Do you know about any workaround for it. Please suggest.

Try moving it to your Maps folder. The User Content Folder is for mods that affect game mechanics and customaztion.
Hi, thanks for the help with previous matter friends. However, once I activate any mod (tick in front of respective mod)
I am unable to see any changes.
There are no new units added and nothing new happens. How can I access the content of the mod in the game?
