XCOM® 2

X-Com UFO Defence (Enemy Unknown) set the bar very high. This game, and it's predecessor miss the mark. Completely. They are a pale shadow, a seeming, of the original title in this series. It is as if someone read a short review, without pictures, on what the first game was and thought, 'Hey, we could make a sequel to this and make money' and away they went. Tiny squad sizes, turn based mode where the other team always acts as soon as you actually see them without any hope of them being surprised, RNG is clearly weighted against the player, action points nerfed to the point of being pointless... There are just so many design decisions here that scream 'We didn't understand what really worked about the original game and why it is so beloved, but we can sure make things pretty with graphics nowadays!' Am I a curmudgeonly old guy who loves the original game (And Laser Squad on the ZX Spectrum of course...)? Yes. Does this new series of games completely miss the mark for me and not hold up when compared to those experiences from decades ago? Also yes. Cannot recommend for anyone who played and loved the games under the same name back in the day.

When the UFO gets you, the ship gets lost in the north pole and it can't move. If you don't have a previous save, that's more than 40 hours lost.

While decent on its own, the fact that this game misses its launcher(and all that features it provides), has no multiplayer support, no mod support and no extras, I'd suggest waiting for a deep discount, i.e. 75%+, before spending money on this inferior, second-class version of the game.

This game is bettere then first part but.. Mechanicks is f*** when my soldiers shooting and 5 time in a row 92% hit chance is missing then u know the game is f***, i know its not impossible but to many 87-92% shoots are missing to be coincidence. And Mutons looking like Krogans (-) , Great idea with space ship , a loot of cool changes but im still anoyed with f*** mechanics should be 4,5 * but its only 3 bcs whole fun from game taking bad programing or somthing like that :(

Idk why it's so hard for these guys to make controller support that isn't terrible
