The game launches and plays its movie intro but after the movie it causes the whole computer to freeze and a message about windows not tested. The game when I played it years ago was fun and hilarious but just as I've been finding with older games there are severe compatibility issues especially with windows 10

If you don't like turn based, remember that this goes fast. 3 vs 3 rounds is over in 5-10 minutes. Funny and still plays very good Plus: nice zoom feature with mouse scroll

Yes, this needs the W2-Plus patch to run on modern systems; but the game itself is still some much fun. Later games added more stuff, but most lost some of it' fun and charm along the way. This has the perfect combo of voice-sets, super-weapons, charming backgrounds, level generator and weapon + teams editor without making it too crowded or complex. Make some roping magic happen, play with all the superweapons to wreck havoc or go minimalistic techy with 15s rounds and no superweapons, 1999s Worms Armaggedon is its bigger brother and great if you - somehow - ever get bored with Worms 2 - but you'll need mods too for customization and for casual players it's just overkill.

the ai is deadly accurate which is a good thing right, being able to fire a grenade at you passing it through 2 small openings and placing it behind your left ear from 20 miles away while riding a downhill skateboard on a back country road without even thinking. the ai can only use few weapons where as you can use all so it is balanced out perfectly in the end.now the crate placement is another story.this is where the game cheats like a politician at tax time. the amount of times a crate is placed right next to you when you are the only serving worm, as soon as its your turn the crate goes boom. other times iv had up to 4 crates around me and a poor shot from the ai blows you into the middle of next year.the ai can be both brilliant and some of the time totally off its face. do i like this game , well its been on my pc since mid 90s, iv given it few hours most days.best stress reliever out there.
