Good history, nice mechanics
Its a good game, the history keeps you advancing and the games introduce mechanics the longer you advance. Also it fills nice that things got easier in skills way.

The sea is calling!
This game is an absolute gem. I played it for free back when it first dropped thanks to game pass, and decided to give it a shot on PC figuring it might feel better playing it with a mouse and keyboard. After now completing the main storyline, I can confidently say it is one of my top games of all time. Like Windwaker/Breath of the Wild meets Moana and Raft. Nothing beats finally building the ideal trimaran and just flying through the crossing levels. The controls are tight, the gameplay is simple but engaging, and the entire experience of island hopping and resource gathering/management is also simple but satisfying. Love the simple but diverse food options, but kinda wish there was a poison mushroom among all those fungus. Otherwise, the entire game is the perfect little microcosm. 11/10 Well done!

Game Breaking Bugs
I could play it for 4 minutes before I got a game breaking bug, making it impossible to play. I didn't try to get the game running again because the four minutes hadn't really convinced me anyway.

Unfinished, unpolished
The atmosphere of this game is nice, lends itself for a casual game. Lots of stuff to create though, so you'll quickly spend more time than initially expected. Soundscape is ok and adds to the atmosphere. Who you are or what you are supposed to do is not clear at all. It seems to me the developers were out of resources and could not flesh this part of the game out as you'd probably expect. Minor glitches show the game menu in between regular game frames. I don't expect this to be solved. It's not a breaking issue, but can be a little annoying. Taking down large creatures is a pain in the ass. Weapons inflict hardly any damage. And when a creature throws you off balance, you can't dodge the next attack. So you'll be trampled in no time. And can then start all over again. Loading an intermittent save game is NOT possible. So a lot of time and effort simply goes to waste. I don't understand why developers make these choices. If I want to save spam, why not let me? It's my choice to make.
