It is really pretty and interesting, but in the end I played it through in 2 hours. Great for a short little experience, but I feel like they could have sprung for a longer story as the potential was there. Giving 4 stars because we got little but what we got was really good! Just needed to get fleshed out more.
I recommend you get it on sale.
I loved this game! I played through every possible outcome, character type and ending ( I think! ) and enjoyed every single moment of it. The art is wild and creative, the lore and game felt true to World of Darkness werewolves, the characters were diverse! (LGBTIQ+), the various narrative and RP options were clever, well written and engaging, and there are quite a few hidden gems to find. I've played a lot of visual narrative rpgs and this is by far my fave'. Mad props and thanks to the game designers.
If endless dialogue between edgy modern kids, Bad writing, and cheesy artwork are your thing, Then this may be the Werewolf experience you've been dreaming of. If you're a traditional werewolf fan hoping for a rich story and lots of fun werewolf shenanigans, Then this is not the game for you.
Right from the get go it inserts strong politics, I can let you guess from which side, And forces you into one mindset, a very closed one.
Probably the worst thing I have purchased here, and will be getting my $1.49 back.
This seems like it was written by contemporary grad. students with no real-world experience or extended exposure to actual good writing to have any idea how to write well. The writing in this is high-school level at best, and the ideas are shallow and narcissistic embodying the current culture of society where the purported values/principles of invididuals are not represented by how they are/the thoughts/feelings they share. It seems like it is probably written by people who introduce themselves with their pronouns and think it is okay to punch someone they view as part of 'the patriarchy.' It's painfully juvenile and delusional and I had to stop playing because it was forcing so much propaganda on me with no other choice but to 'agree' with it - NO!
I am an advocate of earth and nature, I consider her our mother and a living being, sacred and we to be its protectors. I grew up and live in the forest, I love it, and will defend it with my life. This game completely pretends to be of the same heart, but, has no idea what it is to do or be good - like the misguided/lost/confused people who make up the vast majority of society.
